The long and short of this review: “Go to THE QUOIN RESTAURANT and you will love everything.”From the courteous reception at the valet stand, to the prompt and friendly service at the Rooftop Lounge, to the extremely welcoming Maître d', to our extraordinary server, to the absolutely fabulous cuisine, everything was not only on point, but consistently exceeded expectations. We started the evening off at the Rooftop Lounge with cocktails. The Rooftop Lounge is a sweet spot to enjoy a pre-dinner drink as well as the afternoon sunshine. Our Rooftop server thoughtfully and efficiently ensured that we enjoyed our cocktails, but also that we were timely on our way downstairs to make our reservation for dinner. For dinner downstairs, we were promptly seated and though originally given a table outside at our own request, when it became a bit chilly, we were happily and quickly seated inside. After cocktails, our delightful server recommended several menu items to be shared. Her spot–on recommendations did not disappoint. We shared and enjoyed the Burratta Piadina and Endive Salad to start things off. Each dish was superb. We then were treated to the Crispy Octopus and the Fettuccine. Again, each dish was simply wonderful. Flavorful. Expertly prepared, beautifully plated. We ended our meal with the Wood Fired Salmon, which was, once again, fantastic. After enjoying an espresso and a cappuccino, respectively, we lingered at our table to soak in and enjoy the atmosphere: the open kitchen, the sleek bar, the friendly bustle of the entire staff working tirelessly and showing their obvious talents. And, as we departed, the affable and cultivated Maître d' personally thanked us by name for dining at the restaurant. Perfect parting words for a perfect dining experience.I highly recommend THE QUOIN RESTAURANT. It’s absolutely outstanding in every conceivably ratable category for dining experiences. Go and enjoy!

It was an amazing experience. Soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Kevin who took us on a tour of the whole place. We settled in upstairs for a drink, and an appetizer before coming down to the main level and having Sarah as our waitress, she was phenomenal and she actually recommended my dinner choice of the bone in pork, and the food was amazing, the bartender Dutch was very accommodating and knowledgeable as well and then we finished up downstairs and Tav and his partner did an amazing job as well. Everybody there exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back in the near future. Almost forgot we got up to go talk to people we knew at a different table and I believe the guys name was Ryan (Sara’s friend) came over to us and tapped me on the shoulder and let us know that he put our belongings together and has the manager standing by our table because he didn’t want to leave them unattended.

Lovely establishment in downtown Wilmington. Our waiter, Brandon, was excellent! He went out of his way to give us a tour of the rooftop dining area which was great. Husband loved the drink menu and my two kids loved their food. We will definitely return!

We came to this hotel for the basement bar Simmer Down. We’d been here back in summer 2023 during a weekday and had a lovely time, thought it was such a unique space so we thought we’d bring our friend from out of town on a Friday night understanding it would be busier. When we went downstairs one of the servers said they were at capacity and it would only be 20min, to wait at the bar upstairs and they’d come get us. There were two bartenders upstairs, bartender 1 (Totoro sprites tattoo on her forearm) was stand-offish and insisted it was a 45 min wait to get in downstairs despite us having been told otherwise just before we got there. We thought well we can wait and have a drink which was served by bartender 2 and they were fine. As we’re chatting and drinking, bartender 1 flicked bottle caps from across the bar (we can only assume at a trash can?) that bounced off the bar and narrowly missed my husband’s face. We were in shock as she laughed about it and eventually (briefly) apologized but it was one of the bizarrest, rudest moments we’ve ever had out at what we considered to be a classy place. Safe to say we will not be back with guests and maybe someone should check in on bartender 1 because she may not be ok. She also handed us our check without asking if we were done nor without mentioning last call and we went downstairs where the door had probably been open for a while. Just weird and disappointing.

The rooftop bar has an amazing atmosphere. Bartenders are always friendly and make great drinks. Cheese board is always terrific. Refreshing Spring/Summer drinks.

The Quoin is the best restaurant in the area! The quality of the food, the atmosphere and the wonderful service are outstanding. It is not just a fabulous restaurant but the rooftop bar and the speakeasy downstairs makes a great night out. Well done!!!

Everything was exceptional!! Excellent food, service, and ambience. Our waitress Madeline was amazing. My husband and I ordered the fig piadina as an app, split the tortellini, and each had the Wagyu and everything was outstanding. This is definitely our new favorite restaurant. Highly recommend checking out their cocktail bar downstairs "Simmer Down" before dinner.

Went for New years, made the reservation online. Nothing indicating that there was a specific menu. Only found out once sat.

We came here on the recommendation of some friends, and this place did not disappoint. If there's even a hint of a foodie within you, you'll love this place. They have a rooftop lounge which, unfortunately, was closed since it's the middle of winter as I write this. There's a nice bar/lounge downstairs from the main dining floor. The kitchen is open to the dining area, so you can see the wood-fired ovens working their magic. There's also a bar in with the main dining area. The specialty drinks are different, too, between the bar in the main dining area and the bar in the lounge downstairs.By the way, they do have valet parking, and there's always on-street parking. But one block down was a parking garage, so there are plenty of options. Our reservations were for 5:45pm but we arrived at 5pm hoping to get a drink at the downstairs lounge. The lounge, however, didn't open until 6pm. They were kind enough to seat us anyway as there were plenty of open tables!Service was friendly, courteous, and quick without hovering over you constantly. Thank you, Grace, for the lovely service! There are three main sections of the menu -- appetizers, small plates, and main entrees. My wife and i ordered one of each, and nothing disappointed! The food was prepared and presented perfectly. The quality was up there with some of the finer restaurants I've been to. From my burrata to my tortellini to my chicken, everything was delicious and paired perfectly with the extras and garnishes. Whoever made their menu definitely knows what they're doing, mixing flavors, textures, and temperatures to a tee! It was a great experience.Needless to say, this became a top go-to spot for us. We're planning our next visit back with the friends who recommended Quoin in the first place. I can't wait!

One of the best meals I've had in the area! The atmosphere in the space was elevated yet cozy with an open kitchen against the back wall and a bar near the entrance. The menu is creative and flavorful, and I enjoyed ordering everything to share. My partner and I split 6 dishes, 3 antipasti (endive salad, tuna tartare, crab crostini) and 3 primi (octopus, prawns, rigatoni). Everything was delicious, and portions were enough that we came hungry and left perfectly content, leaving for another glass of wine and their incredible sticky toffee pudding. I would pass on the tuna tartare as it wasn't as flavorful as everything else on the menu, but I would definitely reorder everything else. Brandon was our server and offered Michelin quality service - attentive, offered excellent recommendations, detailed in descriptions of the items. A must-visit if you're in the area!

Menu was not the same as presented on their website for Sunday dinner.Somewhat disappointing, otherwise, the food was good, two of the three desserts was definitely subpar.

I always have the best experience at the quoin! Our second time here and it is our favorite special occasion restaurant. The food here just makes you happy. The menu is set up in 3 courses and the delivery of each course is expertly timed. The menu is seasonal and is always changing but I will say every pasta dish here is a no brainer, you have to get at least one! To start we ordered the Maryland Crab Crostini and it was phenomenal! Perfectly executed with lump crab but still well balanced with a creamy sauce. For the middle course we ordered 2 seasonal pasta dishes and the flavor profile of both blew me away! If I ever see wild boar ragu on their menu again I would order it in the blink of an eye. For the final entree we ordered the pork shank which came with the best kale side I've ever experienced. A pro tip from the water was to order a small first course item to come out with the entree to have an additional side which we of course did! The potato side was a perfect addition coming with a lemon dill sauce. The food is good but the vibes are even better! A beautiful mid century setting with a grand bar and great dinner music. The wait staff changes your plating and silverware in between each course. This is such a great dining experience if you're comfortable with the price point. We love it here for a special night out.
