I only go here because it’s the least gross of the three gross options in Ave. The food, which is not cheap, is mediocre at best. They force you to pay a tip even for takeout (I would tip anyway, but why make me pay without letting me choose how much), and the service when I pick up isn’t great, mostly impersonal and cold.

Great service and the good was very good. We have had bad experiences with service and food in previous years but we're pleasantly surprised at quality, choice and freshness of food.It was quite chilly in the restaurant.

The food was surprisingly good for a clubhouse dining room at a golf course. I was staying at a condo nearby and just stopped in because I didn’t want to leave the area. By all means is definitely worth having.

The pretzel is gigantic. The four of us shared it. The Nachos were so good. All of the toppings were extremely fresh. I highly recommend.

I have been to the Rusty Putter for breakfast and dinner. Both were very good. This is a good place for me because I live in Ave Maria at Del Webb. If I didn’t live here I probably wouldn’t have tried it. Because I do it is a good place to get a good meal. It’s not date night restaurant but for day to day food it’s excellent.

Two out of the 4 of us ordered Tso Chicken. These chicken pieces where told to us as be hand battered. I doubt they were. they looked like dump and fry commercial product. Both orders were over fried and dried out. The Tso sauce was very limited. this was brought to the attention of the waiter, but no effort was made to correct the poor dinner quality or offer a remedy. The third person had Steak Au Poivre which was reported to have been good. The fourth person had Mahi Mahi Piccata which was also reported to have been OK. Two appetizers, Sami So Shrimp, and RP Sesame Tuna Sa were small and average. We accepted the mediocre meal and chalked it off as a bad choice. However, things really became upsetting when I discovered that the bill already included a gratuity (20%) for a party of FOUR. I have seen this in the past for a party of 6 or eight or greater, but never four. When I mentioned this to the waiter, I was advised that it was written in the menu. I was so steamed that I did not bother to examine the menu to see where. I view this as an unscrupulous business practice. To add insult to injury, the venue ALSO a convenience fee for using my credit card to pay the bill. Sever was excellent and I would have tipped him more but didn't because he failed to mention the built in gratuity and was in a position to make more than double. The invoice did have a line for tip that was labeled "extra tip", but one could easily miss that if they weren't paying close attention. Last I spoke to the assistant Manager as we left outlining my concerns, but she offered no remedies. Apparently management left that part of the training out. We were visiting relatives in the area and have advised to be aware if they choose to frequent this restaurant in the future. I know won't be back.
