Friday evening dinner at Phil's Place in Boca Raton, west side of Federal Hwy. just north of Yamato, in the old Fries to Caviar location.We started with the Boudin Balls, Fried Okra, and the grilled artichoke (family style). For our mains, we had the Lasagne and Eggplant stack with shrimp and crabmeat. I had a delicious coconut rum beverage. Alex provided the service and was friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to our next visit.Funny, I mentioned I intended to photograph our food and then forgot until we'd already dug in.Oh, the bead pudding! Don't forget the bread pudding.All very good.

New in town and had a great experience finding Fries to Caviar a couple nights ago. Delicious food, friendly and attentive staff, and a fun atmosphere made it a good time. I had a caipirinha (expertly made), the old bay fries, and steak tacos. All exceeded expectations and I can’t wait to go back and try more.The owner Phil is an incredible guy. You could tell he has a great relationship with his staff and truly cares about his guests.I’ll be highly recommending Fries to Caviar to anyone looking for good food, friendly people, and a fun time!

Working for Uber and was picking people up from there leaving the bar. The security there is very unprofessional and aggressive. A guy was causing problems and one of their security had him in a chokehold on the ground. It was under control but then one of the security guards proceeded to start punching the younger guy in the face while he was in the chokehold on the ground. Clear abuse of power/excessive force. The security guard was hopping around like he was in a boxing match, not trying to deescalate the situation. Also bumped into my car a couple times. Security is supposed to handle altercations in an appropriate manner and if they don’t have control over how they react to their emotions they should not be in that position. It was a shorter security guard with a small beard who was hitting the younger fau student in the face while he was already being contained. Wont be surprised if this place ends up with a lawsuit on their hand if they don’t get that guy under control or let go.
A very uncomfortable atmosphere - they aren’t sure if they are “high end” or casual. Some of the servers look professional, while others look like strippers. Lol I don’t get it. A very young, immature staff, with subpar food. They could truly do better.

If you want to have a drink with underage kids on a Wednesday night this is your place. 20 year olds walking around the property and in the streets for a bout 9pm on. Maybe whomever owns the place is trying to further devalue the property behind it. That's the only explanation.

This place is so confusing. It’s probably because it doesn’t really have an identity. The food was pretty good. The service was pretty good. Everything else was just weird. Are they a restaurant? A lounge for older people? A sports bar? They were all of that but also none of that. Very strange…
