The food was a 6 out of 10 so not come here the servers are seriously dumb and slow. What restaurant brings the sides before the meat that not only I waited 15 min for but also had to wait to be cooked on the bbq. By the time the meat even came out my sides were cold . Than i asked for tempura 4pcs I asked the waiter she said yea and than they bring a sushi roll and she said the a la carte tempura shrimp is the old menu and took it upon herself to bring out the sushi roll and got upset because i did not want it and requested it off my bill. The entire staff is rude honestly except the people who bring the food out but the host are rude . Honestly deciding whether or not I should post the content on my reels on ig because I recorded everything for my IG AND MY TIKTOK. IG FOREIGNNN_GYALLL incase I decide to post it. This is nothing like Gyu kaku they would never treat there customers like this .

Did a take out order. Restaurant lacks customer service. They forgot the sauce for the roll which makes a huge difference in experience, but according to them me coming back and walking 25 mins bcs they messed up does not warrant a credit or anything. Poor front desk management not to mention Roll is super tiny for $18!Disappointing all around.

Pretty mediocre sushi with high prices. Fish was fresh but not great quality. The appetizers were ok, sauces on the sweet side. Drinks were kinda sweet. The vibe was good. Sitting on the patio was nice on a cool night.

Oh please NO!! Do not go. Service was good, decor ok but the sushi is worst all of us had. Coming from a large party we tried many. Even the bad and boujee.... yes it was bad. Nearly all fish was mush, rice was was porest. We went to sushigo and that was top notch. We also went to ichiyami sushi buffet and that was amazing for 30 bucks.Good reviews are from people that don't know. All the customers we saw where under 30 and drunk. And the chick fil A roll? Really? So gross

Seriously the best sushi I've ever had in my entire life! The fish is super fresh and the rolls were full of flavor. You have to try the Spicy tuna rice crispy when you go!
Best happy hour! The quality and freshness of their sushi is incredible. The dynamite lobster and the 911 is our favourite(not on happy hour menu). Our son loved the gyoza, spring rolls, and chicken fried rice. Connor is an excellent server and made our experience very enjoyable. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. Next time we will definitely ask for him.Happy hour is 4-7PM daily.Kid-friendliness: Our 6yr old loved it and can’t wait to go back.

First and last! Total disappointment. Sat at the bar, where the selection is poor and sad. Asked to try a mezcal that had never tried before, waitress said it was not allowed. Drinks are the size of a sample and the only cocktail I ordered, absurdly expensive btw, had to return because it was horrible. Don’t like posting bad reviews but if it helps someone….A lot of improvement needed here.Not coming back.

Had a dinner date with my wife at Kanpai and it was fantastic, thanks to our server, Rhica. She was super friendly and really knew her stuff. Loved her recommendations on the sushi. She made sure our night was extra special. Rhica's service was a big part of why we'll be going back.

Great location and atmosphere but something felt lacking to give it 5 stars. Love that they have 3 options with seating: outdoor, indoor, or Japanese bbq.We went with the barbecue section and had the meat selection plus some sushi. Omakase sushi was good. Spicy tuna on crispy rice was excellent! Meat was good and tasty but wish we could have skipped the chicken and instead had more steak.If you like cold sake then definitely go with the Kinka daiginjo!!!There is paid street parking on palmetto and on the side road as well.Waitress was very nice!I’d come back to try it again.
