This really seems like one of Boca Raton's favorite places to dine and drink. The ambiance was cozy and well decorated. Had the eel roll and that was awesome. Service was friendly. Packed when I got there but of course it's Boca lol

Excellent food and outstanding service! I was craving the pecking duck and we decided to try Yakitori. While everything we had was delicious I was heavily disappointed with the pecking duck as it was served with flour tortillas instead of the traditional pancakes, I I really wish they would change that as the flour tortillas overpowered the duck. Service was outstanding.

Came here on a Sunday with a couple girl friends around 6:30. The place was pretty busy but we were seated right away in the patio. We started with the shishito peppers and the octopus and conch salad. The peppers were good but I wish they roasted it a bit more. And it was 2 skewers of 4-5 peppers which is more than I'm used to so that's a plus. The octopus and conch salad was fresh with a hint of spice which I enjoyed. For mains, we ordered the seafood clay pot and the short rib robata. The clay pot was sizzling and delicious. The sauce was great with rice. The short rib was my favorite. The beef was nice and tender and flavorful. I would definitely come back and try other things in the menu.

A hidden Boca gem!! We'd been here before and loved it. We decided to go again it is probably getting better. The staff are really courteous and will seat you right away. They have inside seating, as well as a small bar and plenty of room outside. Their happy hour specials are great and their drinks and appetizers come out pretty quick. The sushi rolls are good in size, are really fresh, and the portion size is generous. There is plenty of other options on their menu if you don't want sushi (fried rice, bang bang shrimp are really good). Overall a great place that deserves more local recognition!

Food at Yakitori is consistently decent. If your looking for take out or a quick casual place to go it's fine. That said, the Japanese food scene in boca raton has expanded substantially over the last few years. The best restaurant today is Alleycat right down the road on Palmetto at the former rebel house location. They have higher quality sushi and much better cooked Japanese dishes like dumplings, fried rice, noodles and unique dishes like fried pastrami sandwich bites. The best sushi in town is at Sunset Sushi which does Omakase style which is a nice special date night treat if you're able to spend $150 per person. Back to Yakitori it's always going to have a place in our dining heart as it's one of the first date spots I went to with my wife years ago. The thing is they just don't seem to be keeping up with the new restaurant additions to town with higher quality culinary capabilities

I live nearby and was here years ago and after dining here this week I now remember why I haven't been back. The food is really not good and the sushi is similar to grocery store products. Salmon was chewy and we didn't bother eating much of it and the tuna was not much better. Getting away from sushi we switched gears and tried some of the entrees and a noodle dish was bad - real bad. The noodles were in a sauce that was infused with salt and poor quality chicken that seemed to be a processed product. Yakitori's prices are reasonable and they have a nicely priced Happy Hour and I appreciate that but what's the point if the food is not good.
