Posting for a friend who does Not have Yelp, but was so jarred by his interaction with the cashier he asked me to post for him...(again loved the waitress and the food)... What was a great meal and lovely service from Karen, our waitress, took a terribly dark turn when it was time to deal with the gift shop cashier. Again - only great things to say about Karen, who gave us her recommendation for lunch and who was just a delight. However, when we attempted to make conversation with the cashier (short, older lady in her 50s or 60s) she was incredibly rude to my wife and I. It was actually a little jarring how nasty she was to us. In retrospect, we decided she must be an incredibly unhappy person who resents dealing with customers and ringing up coffee mugs all day. We decided we didn't need any more interaction with her, returned our coffee mug and left the restaurant after paying. We are glad we supported Capt N' Cons after all this area endured from the hurricane, but we do not think we would ever return based on our interaction with the gift shop cashier.

Great food! Don't get discouraged by the run down look of the place. Service has always been delightful and the waitress makes sure you're good. Good has always came fast each time we have been there. I recommend this hidden gem.

Great little lasting piece of old Florida. The grouper sandwich was great. Bokeelia being our new home base we are looking forward to frequenting this spot!Parking: Located at the marina plenty of parking

Three flies on my table and a dead fly next to me on the window. Sick after eating there. The entrance door has been filthy for years, black with germs. That's what they show us....how clean are areas we don't see? NEVER AGAIN! Ps I wouldn't even feed my dog the burger I couldn't eat!

Generous portions. Friendly staff. Good variety of fish. Also general burgers and sandwiches for the non fish lover. Nice selection of pies. Only negative was lots of flies.
