I love this place. Great views of the bay, can rent charters out to the islands etc.

The food is top tier! We had a beautiful Snapper, over rice pilaf, served with roasted brussels. Service was top notched and attentive.

What brings us back to this place over and over again is the views! SWFL charm through and through! The food is always fantastic and very consistent. I ordered the shrimp and grits this time with the blue crab and corn chowder soup as a side. This chowder is FANTASTIC! I could hardly share with my husband it was so good, sweet and so savory. Forget the cup, go with the bowl! It’s he shrimp and grits were so good I forgot to take pictures. Just cheesy enough to not over power the shrimp flavor. High five to the chef. The food is more pricy, however you know it’s going to be good and consistent so it’s worth it. The staff is extremely professional and patient. This is a restaurant for a romantic date or a celebration. I’ve also gone here for a wedding! Yes it’s that beautiful! Totally recommend a sunset timeframe as you can see from the pictures.Parking: We were able to find a spot but have struggled in the past. However this time they had a parking lot monitor so maybe that’s the difference.

First time eating there and it was awesome. Food was delicious, service was great, not to mention the beautiful view of the grounds from the restaurant. It reminded me of old Florida. Can't wait to go back.

This is our go to spot. Service is above average. Great food, large menu selection. Need reservations to avoid frustrations. Some days they get busy. Great out of the way location.

Fabulous Service by our server, Jennifer made a hectic setting extremely enjoyable. You step on to this breath-taking island amongst a flurry of activity of others who've disembarked simultaneously to lunch and explore during a set, albeit limited time frame. More hustle-bustle than you're hoping for but the staff makes it work well with their lower 'deck' bar for refreshments while waiting for a table, not to mention ample patio seating as well as live entertainment outdoors while you wait. We were able to wander a bit, quite nearby, acknowledging the ospreys, herons, egrets, a gopher turtle and a myriad of botanical delights, while sipping a cool drink. Soon enough it was our turn for a table as our name/party count had been provided by our ship's captain prior to arrival. This is where our server, Jennifer swept in and absolutely made our day with her spectacular and professional abilities. She is a keeper! Loved her suggestions and she checked back during our meal periodically, despite having a very full plate, indeed. Of course, we couldn't leave without being 'cheesy' and partaking in the ever-popular Cheeseburger (in Paradise). WOW! There's simply nothing more to say. No possible improvements. We could not have been in better hands, all the way around. I'm a native Floridian and while I have all sorts of choices throughout the state I take visitors to, this will always remain a favorite, particularly with service of this nature.

I can not say enough good things about this restaurant. Everything from the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Love it! Make sure you have their famous crab and corn chowder. Delicious.

Unfortunately last night was the final decision to take Tarpon Lodge off of our list. This has been our fave for a long time and it's just gone down hill. Service....horrible! Drinks, food, it takes forever! We sat down and it took forever to get our order and then it took forever for them to bring them. The bread, the salad.....forever. So the last time we were there two weeks ago, the food was still so good! Unfortunately the food was really bad this time. Scallops not cooked, pork overcooked and the pasta with shrimp and scallops, it had no scallops. So sorry to see this one go down the drain.

We have dined here many times; having found it a few years ago as we are from Maine. The atmosphere, food, service, and feeling of stepping back in time make dining here a memorable experience. We brought visitors from Maine and, like us, loved the experience. We'll be back soon!

Food for the most part was good; however, the parpadelle pasta didn't taste good, was too thin and lacked body. The service was good. The location is excellent.

Me and my wife were celebrating our 1st anniversary and this place came highly recommended. Our reservation was at 8:00 so we arrived about 45 minutes early to watch the sunset and it was a spectacular view. Then we sat down only about 2 minutes after check in and had our best meal in a long time. They gave us a free dessert for our anniversary and it was also delicious. Great view, great atmosphere and highly recommended.

We celebrated a birthday. The triple tail was excellent. We sat outside. It was a beautiful evening. Fans could have been turned lower. But, otherwise things were wonderful. Our server was new but, handled the table well.

It's a shame that the service was not up to par and that when our food arrived, portions were cold.. Took way to long for our wine and deserts.. The hostess was very nice as was the bus girl, Abby. They should be commended.. Overall, not sure we would go out of our way to go there again..

We were not sure at first about this restaurant based on the length of our drive to get there. But, wow, it was so worth it! Great service. Amazing view on the water. Our food was exceptional. I got the scallops special and my wife enjoyed the Triple Tail (a Local catch). I highly recommend the Tarpon Lodge Restaurant!
