I was downtown Boynton Beach getting the oil changed on my car. I needed to find a place for breakfast, so I walked and came upon DJ's, which was not a disappointment at all. I was greeted right away and offered something to drink. The homey small town atmosphere in a big city was quite refreshing. The food was delicious. I ordered my eggs soft scrambled and they were perfect along with the crispy bacon. Even the coffee was fresh and enjoyable.I will definitely go there again.A BIG shout out to Julie. Best waitress.

It appeared the place was closed up, tight as a drum, last week around 11 in the morning. Vacation or Out of Business? Any updates, as it sure had looked like a great place to have gone for breakfast, having noticed it many times in the evening (when it's expected to have been closed).

The service and food today was VERY UNACCEPTABLE!! I frequent DJ’s Diner often but today words can’t express how TERRIBLE the service was. I walked in and there was not a clean table to sit at and was not acknowledged to even sit down. I believe the servers were Josh and Patty, they were absolutely rude and you can tell didn’t want to be there. Josh was so out of touch and clearly appeared to be under the influence of something. Patty, kept complaining about it’s only her working and how it’s too much. She didn’t know what was going on. I feel like once you reach a certain age just find another job to work at that would benefit you. I spoke to the manager to discuss what took place and all he could say is “Oh well I am sorry.” I spent $46.00 just to leave the food sitting on the table. Grits was cold to the point the cheese couldn’t even melt. Josh took it to the back and left my grits in the microwave(Just disgusting). Corn beef hash was burnt. It was just a horrible experience and I won’t EVER COME BACK!

The food was delicious and I definitely will visit again. I woke this morning wanting some Keke's Cafe but the one is Wellington told us it would be a 25 minute wait. I couldn't wait because I was hungry. So my husband and I drove to Keke's Cafe in Boynton and they told us it would be a 30-35 minute. My husband looked at me and I said no I'm hungry. Young lady in Keke's Cafe told us about DJ's Grill and said the food was good. So we went there and guess what, she didn't lie. Sometimes in life things you want is not always things you need. I'm glad we have found another place to go for breakfast. ?

We have been passing this little place for years down here in South Florida but just never stopped in. On the spur of the moment and randomly we pulled in there today and thought we'd give it a try after 35 years in South Florida. We eat breakfast out 2 to 3 times a week. Lately, in fact for the past couple of years, I would say that most of our experiences are negative. In many places it seems people have stopped caring. The service, the food, etc seem to have gone downhill in just about everywhere we hit. We are not that fussy but we like good food at reasonable prices in a clean atmosphere. We did stop at another place for lunch this past week and it was literally atrocious, horrible food and a surly miserable nonattentive waitress, all for the pleasure of a $50 lousy lunch for 2, and that was with only water to drink, which was never refilled by the way. We might just as well flushed the money down the drain. But enough about that. I am so glad we stopped in DJ's today. My first impression was that it was not only spotlessly clean, but the people that greeted us were so friendly. The wait staff are older "old school" girls and they were so attentive, friendly, and sweet. We were surprised at the reasonable prices. When the food came, it was the cook I believe who assisted the waitress in serving it and he and they were just great. The food was very eye appealing and absolutely delicious and plentiful. I had a vegetable omelet that was all fresh vegetables including spinach. The hash browns, etc were all excellent. There wasn't a thing wrong with anything we had and the service continued to be attentive. I give this place an A+ all the way around. It was also like stepping back in time, because down here in the occasionally abrasive South Florida, it's not that easy anymore to find a place where the people are just so friendly. There was a table of five little old ladies enjoying their breakfast and when they got up to leave, they literally stopped at every table and wished every patron including us a good day and hoped we'd enjoyed our breakfast. It was just a wonderful, rare experience all the way around and we will be regulars now. This is a no frills but spotlessly clean place with no gimmicks and just great service and great food that we experienced. This is a bit of an urban neighborhood just west of Federal Highway, and the clientele is a mix of every kind of person and it was a completely pleasant, friendly atmosphere. It may sound silly but it kind of renewed my faith in humanity, if only briefly. So appreciated.
