Amazing place!! all of their food is fantastic with the exception of the latkes. They are not made from shredded potatoes. They are made from potato flakes. And matzo meal.. That is the only thing that is disappointing. Everything else is amazing, especially The ruben and anything in the bakery.

The most racist people I ever met. They refused to attend me because I’m Hispanic. Servers gave me bad stares and speaked rude to me with attitude as well. Very very rude people. And very unprofessional as well. I walked out because of this bad experience.( I hope the owner isn’t this way) because this is unacceptable.

This is the second time in a month that we have not received good service at this location. First time we went there for lunch at about 3pm and were seated fairly quickly, but it took seventeen minutes to get a server to come to take an order, then almost 20 minutes before water was provided to our table. I complained to the hostess/manager, and was told that it was our fault for arriving at a shift break period, so I held my fire and decided to let it pass. Went back on a Sunday afternoon yesterday and again was seated promptly, although not where we preferred, still decided to let it pass, and again waited for 22 minutes without being approached by a server, despite calling the hostess who promised to have someone momentarily. It never occurred I did observe another party arrived after us got a server to take their order moments after being seated approximately 15 minutes after we were seated, at which point I decided that we had enough disrespect for one afternoon, we got up and left. I have eaten here in the past and the food was good, the service while not great had been adequate in the past. I doubt that we will ever return here as there are many other restaurants around here and I don't need to patronize anyone who has no problem being rude and ignoring us. Let me also add that at no point was myself or anyone in our party unpleasant or not nice to anyone working here, we were dressed neatly. If the restaurant didn't want to serve guests at that time they had every right and opportunity to close the dining room, but if they seated us we had a right to expect to be served properly in a reasonable amount of time. Allow me to add that we went less than 5 minutes away and had a nice late lunch

Good NYC-esque Jewish deli - as good as you'll find in this part of Florida. All the classics including matzo ball soup, knishes, Kugels, overstuffed deli sandwiches including pastrami, corned beef, Rubens, etc. Crazy busy all the time and a big to go deli service counter in addition to the full sit down dine in restaurant. Moms comfort food at your disposal.

I was (sadly) attending a funeral for my 101 yr old aunt and after the ceremony nearby we all met for a late lunch and I ordered a pastrami sammie on rye bread with a potato pancake (more like a skinless knish) with cold slaw and pickles. It was a respectable pastrami sandwich for the price ($18) especially with the sides provided. I live in S.F. now and we really don't have old jewish deli options - let alone for under $20 ! This was a welcomed return to my New Yawk roots ! Solid service - complimentary marble cake on the table and staff that worked hard and kept us all well fed !! Wish they opened a branch in the Bay Area ! Highly recommended. Should have higher ratings IMHO !! Show some deli love !!!

Good food. Good service (Anna) was our waitress. Fair pricing. We drive 40 miles round trip to get there.

I am a regular customer of Flakowitz. And this is not the first time this has happened. I went in to purchase one packaged item and some deli. I stood at the deli counter with no other patrons nearby and 5 (five) employees standing behind the counter just chatting away amongst themselves without ever acknowledging my presence. After about ten minutes waiting, I went to the cashier and paid for my packaged item and left without getting my deli order. As the prices go up on the already overpriced menu the service continues to go down. Do yourself a favor and go to Poppy's, 3 G's, Ben's or Gourmet Deli House and get equally good food and much better service.

Great food and service, I loved every sandwich that pastrami or brisket in it. It looks busy when you go in, but the line moves fast and they bring out the food in only a couple minutes after you order it.
