Ordered the churrasco "platter" and what was served was a small black oval tray with a scoop of black beans and white rice with 4 tiny strips of "fatty-chewy" pieces of what they called steak. Not worth the $12. Go across the street to Chipotle and get a real meal!!! Never will eat here again...

Husband and i stood at the cash register for about 15 minutes, and none of the employees would come take our order. Every single one of them saw us standing there and didn't bother to come to the cashier to take our order. They are racist and don't like to help White people. We will not be going back!

Franchise owners need to change personnel or business will go bad. Cashier Taylor is a problematic bi polar employee that treats clients like crap. I was going to order tomorrow a huge order for 30 people but just because that punk working there, my wife decided to buy from La Granja.

It is pretty much rare for me to leave review for Pollo tropical. Today, I choose to do so because I had 2 peoples (managers apparently) that was walking around and taking of business at the same time and both of them stop to ask me:” how is everything:” with a cordial aspect. I have found that very particular that approach still exist and into my eyes be still relevant…Thank you , it was great.

Upset that my review got deleted, i went to pollo tropical and ordered a salad. As i was eating my salad i noticed something silver on the bottom i moved my lettuce to the side and notice i had the bottom of their kitchen sink piece in my bowl.. i posted my review got a call from someone from who I’m guessing worked for corporate acted like i was lying they told me they would call me back after they investigated the situation and never received a call back. When i called the store all they could do was offer me another meal. But who would want to eat something else after eating a salad filled with bacteria. Deleting my review is sick! So here is my review again to let customers know to watch when they are ordering there food

I thought we would give this location a chance after numerous bad experiences at other locations but it was a mistake. I ordered a 1/2 chicken meal and received 2 dry legs and 2 dry thighs. I at least expected a breast and wing and what I got was dried out, cold, and the rice and beans were cold. I threw my meal in the garbage and will never go back to a Pollo Tropical anywhere ever again.

I never knew what the hype was about Pollo tropical because I’ve never had good service, and the food was never that good. This location is hands-down the best Pollo tropical I have ever been to, from the moment that I made a phone call to the restaurant to the time I stepped into the store to pick up my food 100% great customer service. My food was fresh and well prepared. Definitely my go to location for Pollo tropical. I will be back.

I am a regular customer to pollo tropical. I chose this one in Boynton near Lyons today thinking it’s near but what a horrible experience I had. I never had any problems with the one in Congress and gateway but these guys have such a poor staffs. I left this place with such a rude response from the lady who was taking the order. First she let me wait for 10 minutes after taking the order but went on a hold until I called it out. When she heard me asking for order she instead of feeling sorry for keeping me wait for so long, she very rudely said there was no chicken for me. What the?? I’ll never visit this pollo tropical again. I hope pollo tropical cares for its regular customers and will take action against such employees who have no respect for people waiting in line. This was my first bad experience with pollo tropical in last 15 years. I’d advise everyone that please don’t go for take out from this place they don’t care for you and your time

Blew my mind that again you pay for something and you don't get it. It seems your bother just to ask for the service this company offered. I am tired of being let down by this company and at this point I am done wasting my money.

This location appears to hire employees that are illiterate. Apparently knowing how to read is not a job requirement at Pollo Tropical and it's too much to expect their staff to simply read an order, prepare it correctly, and include the correct condiments requested. The price of menu items keep going up, yet the quality of Pollo Tropical staff and their management continue to degrade. Just when I thought we hit rock bottom with terrible service and illiterate employees a year ago after recovering from the pandemic, we continue to get worse. Why is this problem unique to Pollo Tropical? Is it their mission to hire the worst possible staff available in the fast food industry? Does Pollo Tropical strive to have employees that are slow and can't read? The restaurants across the street don't seem to have incompetent employees and I don't come across other restaurants in the same fast food space that have this problem, so why is Pollo Tropical uniquely positioned to attract employees that are illiterate? I guess it must be on the job description, right? Maybe it says "All applicants must not know how to read or follow instructions."?
