The first time we ate there wasn't that great, but I know all places have off days so we gave it a second try. The second time was worse. The sevice was poor, and the food was bland and exactly like I remembered, mediocre. We were seated quickly but waited and waited for our server to come as other tables around us who were seated after us were served several rounds of drinks and even their food. We were downtown Lakewood Ranch and ran across a very nice art show. Then we found Casa Maya and we were very pleased with this restaurant. Veronica was friendly and seated us where I had asked her to. The chips came warm and they were great. The salsa was mild and not too garlicky. 5 ⭐️. My tacos were really good and they were packed with plenty of meat. I was only able to eat 2 of 3. The fried rice was cooked perfect and tasted great.
