Loaded Cannon broke me down. I like to share layman reviews for restaurants but I’m taking on Loaded Cannon because Steve’s craftsmanship of spirits is top notch. Flights let you explore and the tour is a must so you can understand the detail that goes into their creation, like using only the purest water. I’m going to review one spirit at a time.New to me on the flight list was watermelon cucumber vodka. I didn’t think it would do much for me, didn’t take a picture and had to ask for.a refill to take one. It’s really what drove me to do this review. Light pink with a ready cucumber smell passing to the lips, you’ll be surprised and pleased that watermelon predominates; clean, fresh, and smooth. In January it was great. I’m looking forward to seeing how it changes as the temperatures rise.I recommend splitting flights with some favorites and some completely new. Alana always has a smile and is always happy to make recommendations if you’re lost. Don’t miss this. More to come.

Calling all rum people! Family went on vacation to Florida and after some research I discovered that Florida has lots of rum distilleries. After some more research we decided to try Loaded Canon. We made reservations for the 8 of us. At 15$ a person for a tour and tasting which included 5$ per tour kickback toward bottle purchases I felt it was very reasonable. They have a long list of things to try. I focused on the rum, more on that later! We arrived as they opened and was promptly greeted by Alana. Really cool place inside the tasting room. Nice decor, barrels for tables, bright and airy feeling, pirate themed. Nice bar, shelves with bottles on display etc. overall really cool place with a cool vibe. Alana was super friendly stopped to chat for a minute, handed us list of things available for sample. We made our choices then it was tour time! Alana took us into the back where we met Steve. Steve took us in an amazing tour. Seeing the operation and equipment is something I always enjoy. What really made this special was Steve. You could tell he is very passionate about what he does. The tour was a combo of seeing and hearing about the equipment and process as well as learning some history with a couple jokes and some humor in the mix! Steve was proud of the operation, talking about everything they do to keep it local, starting with pure water, the grains, molasses, etc. towards the end he stopped to answer questions then showed us back to the tasting room where our samples were waiting! I've done plenty of tastings at different places, these samples were very generous pours. Between the 8 of us we covered a wide range of product. My favorites were the Dark Rum and Spiced Rum. The Toasted Coconut and Vanilla were outstanding as well. The smell and taste were outstanding. Others in the group really enjoyed the Apple pie, NeauxLacello, Blackcherry and gin. Steve came out at one point to follow up with us about how we were enjoying everything. We mentioned the gin as not our favorite. His eyes lit up! He said you haven't tried the right one for you! He ran back and brought a sample of a different gin. It was different and so good! No food to talk about which is fine. Overall this place rocks and if you are doing distillery tours in the Tampa area put this on the list! We left with several bottles that I cannot wait to get home and share with friends and family. Alana, Steve, thank you for make the start of our Tampa day special! We had a blast.

We had a fantastic time, took the tour of the distillery, they were super accomadating, and kind. The spirits are incredibly clean and the flavors were fantastic, I cannot recommend this enough.

This place is a MUST VISIT!! The tour was really educational and fun. We got to taste some amazing spirits right out of the barrel. The owner takes a lot of pride in his products and makes some of the best Vodka, Rum, Gin, Whiskey, Bourbon ect. The flights are phenomenal and it’s a great atmosphere! I highly recommend the Jalapeño Vodka and Spicy Bloody Mary mix. I’ve never had a better Bloody Mary in my life. Every spirit he makes is very well crafted to be the best it can be. There was nothing I did not like about this place. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thanks Steve!

Mr Steve is the most kind owner/bartend I’ve ever met! And he makes a mean (and STRONG) cocktail! Personal favorite was the vanilla rum with coke, but I also had a smoked jalapeño mule that was divine. I would give him 10 stars if I could!!
