We had a wonderful time here and thoroughly enjoyed our food. We tried the cuban sandwich and it was very good. We also tried several of their pies and they tasted fantastic. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and even though it was very busy, they served everyone quickly and professionally.

I can't say enough about how good these pies are and how nice the folks at the store are too. We've tried almost every pie they have and none of them disappoint. If you wanna save yourself a hassle of finding dessert for a holiday meal or just something to bring when hanging out with friends, pick up a mermaid pie. You're welcome.

Good place for Key Lime Pie and also Key Lime cookies that are similar the a large dense suger cookie. Delicious treats! Good selection of other fruit snd cream pies too. I came for the Key Lime Pie, it had a perfect gram cracker crust and a good Key Lime flavor, not as tart as others I have tasted. We will be back next time in the area. The selection changes, get there early for best selection for the day. Limited interior seating. Large by the slice option. You can purchase the whole pie too. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this business. The service is impeccable, the food is delicious and very obviously made with love. HIGHLY recommend the lobster roll and key lime pie. The owner is a dime too. She offered taste tests for pies to help my indecisiveness(:If you’re near you MUST TRY!!

Called about having a specialty pie made, the manager I spoke with told me she would have to call me back with a price, and never heard from her again.

Walk in and requested a lemon meringue pie. they made it fresh in less than 3 hours. The lemon was flavorful not overpowering. Definitely made from scratch, not from a can. The crust was flaky. Highly

To all of the reviews I read on the lobster roll stating it didn't have enough meat, y'all are friggen crazy this thing is packed full and so amazing. Pies are just the cherry on top. Very accommodating for a 5 year olds taste buds also making him a sandwich off the menu to his liking. Keep up the good work! Love seeing family businesses thrive!
I would have shared a pic; but the pie was THAT good. I got the coconut cream pie, and oh my gosh it was heaven. The flavor was on point and the toasted coconut on top gave the pie some added texture. The slices are huuuuuge! Be sure to give this place a try!

The pie is the only thing we'd go back for as the overpriced Lobster Roll was very disappointing and lacked any flavor. I only ate half the roll before throwing it away. That's normally one of our favorite sandwiches when we travel to the Northeastern states. That's where we'll continue to enjoy them for now. Unless you go early, the selection of pies dwindles to only a few. Get there early.

You won't likely remember me, but I knew when you and Ed were together. Sign of the Mermaid was my favorite restaurant anywhere within 100 miles of the island, which I moved to in 1981.Do you have any contact with Ed? If so, what's he doing now with his life? I love your food. My name is Richard Shapiro. I'm a trial lawyer, who immediately fell in love with the beach. I played serious 2-man beach volleyball on Manatee Public Beach (we called it Seacow Beach. Hence, we called ourselves the Seacows)You carry on the name in the best way possible! Funniest part is that I grew up in CT, where we believe the hot, buttered lobster roll was invented at a restaurant at an amusement park, called Savin Rock. The restaurant was called Jimmie's, made famous for their hotdogs, of all things, made by a company called Roesslers. But, it was those buttered lobster rolls that made the day!!! Keep it up. How I miss Sign of the Mermaid!!!!Richard
