Horrible place website says they're open. I try to call get a full voicemail with no business message, no personal message, nothing just this voicemail box is full. so I go by there cause they sent me a bogo coupon. Closed even though their website says open. No note or anything. Tried to do an order on the website for when they do open can't even do that because the website barely has any functionality it wouldn't even show me the menu! So in other words, they don't update the website, they don't bother to open when it says they will, and they're completely irresponsible with the phone system. Poor business ethics!

Is this place open anymore? It seems like every time I go by it's closed. Sign on door says closed Monday and Tuesday... but today is Friday and no one is here.

Lackluster branch and were closed 5:30pm on a Friday. Good luck keeping your doors open.

After years of delicious Holy Hog BBQ we may be done. This is the second meal that has been so disappointing. And by disappointing I mean -Who serves burnt buns??? In July we had a very disappointing meal - stale, hard buns, wrong Mac and cheese- jalapeño instead of regular - dried out pork. We took a break (6 weeks) and got great pork on burnt buns. Not sure we’ll be rushing back

We just moved from Detroit to Florida, and have been trying different bbq places. Holy hog in Bloomingdale does it right. The owner is very friendly, and the food is excellent! The ribs are cooked to perfection, and the brisket is beautiful. We also tried the collar greens and a few other sides which were equally as good. Slow cooked just how it should be done. We are now regulars to this establishment. So if you like awesome BBQ, and friendly people give them a try. Keep up the great work guys, I've never seen a harder working manager that cares also, like holy hog in Bloomingdale.

Food was okay and fresh but I have never paid 8.50 for a basic bbq pork sandwich in all of my life! The special was a good deal, same sandwich, side and drink for .50 more. Will be the first and last time. I ordered over the phone it was raining, my mistake.

I had been hyped up all morning for a delicious BBQ lunch and when I drove all the way there I found out they're closed due to staffing issues. Update your Google listing!

Went out of my way to give these guys a try after receiving a promotion through messenger. If they can message me trying to get my business, why can't they message me and save me a trip because they are closed because their smoker was broke. At least thats what the note said that was stuck to their locked door. As I sat in the parking lot contemplating where to go next I watched a few families try their locked door. Not the way to get new customers. Especially on a Friday

Here is a shout out to Manny at Holy Hog BBQ. We recently made our second visit to your restaurant and I have to say the second time was better than the first. I love the smoke flavor and seasoning you put in the meat. Your baked beans, fries, coleslaw and collards awesome too. We will be back since my goal is to try everything on your menu. So far I’ve only had the ribs and brisket. They both tasted great and I can’t wait to try the sausage and chicken. Only advise is, get some help so you can get a break every now and then. Thanks, keep up the great bbqing.

Always bad customer service and food is barely warm. Was just turned away because they said they're closing a hour early! I will never order from there again.

I've visited the Holy Hog in Tampa and was excited then I found that there was one in Brandon. Unfortunately, that excitement quickly turned to disappointment. I ordered the brisket, jalapeño Mac and cheese, bbq beans, and sweet southern corn bread with a sweet tea. The sweet tea had bloomed and had an off taste: the taste sweet tea gets when it sits too long. I tried the lemonade as well and it had a chemical taste. The brisket was served in a styrofoam cup with about a half cup of juice which I found strange. The portion was small and some of the brisket pieces were dry and had a hard exterior. The pieces that were not dry had a nice smoky flavor. The sauce on the brisket was cloyingly sweet; it was almost as if the brisket was candied. Considering the brisket was $4.00 extra, I was disappointed. The jalapeño Mac and cheese was pretty good. It was creamy and had a nice bite from the jalapeños. The beans were favorable and had lots of meat in them. The Texas toast was a typical generic toast. The cornbread was also very sweet and was more of a cake. I believe sweet cornbread is a northern thing and since the cornbread was named sweet southern cornbread I decided to give it a try. I believe all it needed was a little more salt to balance the sweetness and it would have been fine. The entire meal was $24.00 which is pricey in my opinion. I would also add that although presentation doesn't impact the taste of the food, I would say that good bbq brisket in my opinion should be served on a plate and not in a styrofoam cup. I like Holy Hog and will still visit the Tampa locations but I don't think I'll return to this one.
