Good food with their own twists on a few menu items. Little pricey $$, but have a special lunch menu cheaper. Each day varies. Customer service was alright. Small restaurant can fill up quickly

Surprise in this strip mall is an upscale restaurant. I had the burger, which was very large, almost too large, but cooked perfectly. The rosemary fries were tasty and interesting. My friend had a chicken dish from the chefs specialties section, which was delicious. Service was fantastic, bread sticks were a savory snack as we waited.

I had salmon, broccoli, and the house salad. It was fresh and delicious! Service was attentive without being intrusive. Very comfortable atmosphere, and we all like the artwork on the walls.

We had a group of 5 of us for an early dinner, and a mix of surf or turf was ordered. I had the prime sirloin I believe it was called, with garlic butter, sautéed crimini mushrooms, and their slightly sweet seasoned sweet potato fries...Wow! It was delish! They cut every steak off the larger piece to order, and all food is prepared fresh, so we were informed of a slightly longer wait time may be possible, but I didn't think it was any longer than usual. I ordered my steak rare-ish, and it was perfect. Juicy, tender, and well seasoned. The rest of my group had a mix of pork chops, scampi, and another fish dish and everybody else raved over their plates! I was the only drinker, and I had 2 glasses of very good Pino Noir that went very well with my steak. Our lovely waitress was on top of everything and very attentive. We were in to eat early, but additional staff were present for the evening rush.Great atmosphere, comfortable inside with lots of great art to look at and enjoy. "Urban casual dining", right on the money. Will be back!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in and out. There is a curb by the front door, did not notice a concrete ramp along the front...

Don't let the strip mall location and exterior fool you. This is a very nice restaurant with great service and food.

We have eaten here quite a bit since they've opened. Both lunch and dinner. We have a habit of eating at restaurants between lunch and dinner to avoid possible chaos and rushed services. We have our favorites on the menu and are always satisfied with the fresh flavors and quality products. Service is always pretty slow, sometimes terribly but we plan for it and just deal with it. However, yesterday was too much. The staff had two big tables besides full booths (mid afternoon). Have never seen so many people. Looked like club meetings. We got our drinks by a new face, polite young man. 40 minutes went by. We had our menus and were ready to order along with one of the two big tables and several booths. All of the people that ordered ahead of us still were not served food, so not a good sign. The two waiters and busboy never "touched a table" and talked to us or others, not even a look. Just kept their heads down and stayed in the kitchen a lot. We had no idea what was happening. After 45 min or so, we left money for our drinks on the table and departed. They REALLY need some training please. Terrible way to treat customers.

Not bad but not great. Group decided to meet for lunch, 4 of us ordered the burger, well done. Medium well, rare and last medium. All 4 came out well done. Everyone was satisfied except the 4 burger people. Place was busy and people waiting for vacant tables, we let it go but seems their cook doesn't understand rare to well done.

We came in late and without reservations because we were from out of town and were being told that the wait at Bistro was almost 2 hours. They found us a table even though normally they are “reservations only “… and the service and food were both amazing!
