My fiancé and I, who reside in MI, decided to have a destination wedding in Fort Myers Beach and I was referred to Lady Cakes from a friend. Sadly, The hurricane Ian canceled our destination wedding due to damage. We had to bring our wedding back home. I foolishly paid both the deposit and the balance remainder ahead of time trying to stay on top of things. Bess is the only vendor that wouldn’t refund my money. I understand that the deposit ($140) wouldn’t be refunded due to the contract. She stole my remainder balance of $140 for a cake that was never made to help keep her business afloat. Her contract was very vague that she got to decide if there a refund. This is was unforeseen acts of God. When In reality we needed that money to go towards our wedding here. Definitely a disgusting business deal and she should have allowed certain customers to get money back who would never really be in Fort Myers again. She is the only vendor that did not give me a refund, which is crazy because it was 3+ months before the wedding date, what work was done? Do not deal with Bess. She is rude and will take your money and run.

She took our $400 deposit for a cake she never even made. We had to cancel several weeks in advance due to the hurricane. Do not deal with her. She is so shady.

We come to Cape Coral on an annual basis and since I found this place last year we will make a special trip across town to get these cupcakes. Great selection and excellent taste. Prices are cheaper than Publix for premium cupcakes.

Thank you so much Bess for helping me give my husband the best finishing touch for our Valentine’s date. The cake looked even better than I dreamed up in my mind. I am also so happy I went with Lindsey’s recommendation to have chocolate peppermint butter. this cake tasted even better than it looked. It had the perfect cake to buttercream ratio. I can’t wait to place my next order.

We are surprised that anyone would offer a favorable review. First purchase was ok but nothing special. Thought we would try again. What a mistake. Mediocre at best. If your looking for a quality product try Publix or Wyndixie. Way overpriced and more in line with the bakery that supplies 7-11.

We picked up a layer cake for my daughters 25th birthday. Wow, it was delicious. To have this quality without having to order ahead.

I’ve been eating lots of chocolate chip cookies for my 55 years and these take the cake! There are beautiful cakes and a huge variety of cupcakes and other baked goods to sample as well.

I have purchased a few things from LadyCakes from cupcakes to cookies, etc.. They have been ok, not a standout or truly any better than Publix or grocery store goods. My issue is with their attitude, pricing, and lack of consistent quality. There is a big problem when someone who is not baking her own goods is intentionally rude to the public or allowing her staff to be so. I have been to two weddings locally where the wedding cakes from here were not what the Brides wanted, leading to tears and ruined wedding days. To be met with rude customer service and no recourse, is unprofessional and unacceptable. Don't promise sugar handcrafted flowers and charge for such and then plop a fake flower on top. I will support local bakers who care about their customers in the future

I was extremely satisfied with my daughter's cake, smash cake, and cookies. Not only did I come in the bakery with several pictures and on top of being so indecisive, they were very patient and understanding with me!I just wanted everything to be perfect for my baby girls 1st birthday. Both cakes were absolutely beautiful and they tasted even better!! I got so many compliments on her cake at the party! At first I thought the pricing was a little high but everything was Definitely worth the money I spent!

Absolutely wonderful to work with, and amazing cupcakes! They were a pleasure to deal with for both my sister’s baby shower and my parent’s vow renewal!

LadyCakes provided a cake for my son’s first birthday and a smash cake to go along with it. It was a stress free process submitting my ideas for our theme and getting feedback in terms of pricing. We requested a very detailed Wreck-it Ralph cake and boy did they deliver. It was so intricate and beautiful; I got compliments throughout the day and every time I sent pictures. Not only did the cake look amazing but it tasted great too. It was a simple vanilla cake but it was so good that my guests asked to take some slices home. Thank you for making this a special birthday LadyCakes!

Was looking for a good old fashioned bakery while recently visiting the Cape and came across good reviews for Lady Cakes. We got there a little late in the day so the flavor choices were not a lot, but enough. Cupcakes are standard size, which we prefer to the oversized ones and very good. Fresh and great taste. We also took a coffee cake slice for breakfast the next day and it was so good! The cake was very fresh and moist and it had a huge layer of crumble on the top. Staff was very friendly and we look forward to returning on our next visit, but will go earlier to get the flavors right away!

They don't deserve a one star. I ordered a cake for my own baby shower and charged me almost $450.00, I agreed upon the price based on the picture I saw in their gallery. But the day I picked it up when I got home this cake was a nightmare. I cannot show you the original picture on their website because they took it down after I complained about my cake. Spoke to the owner and believe me when I say this she is rude and doesn't want to compensate to their screw up for what they did. This cake is $450.00 for 24 people but none of them ate the cake because it was awful,... The only word that you can hear or comes out of her mind and mouth is my apology, my apology but she won't work with you for their screw ups. If eel ashamed of paying $450. and I got scammed. That was my first and last business with them, they take your money and screw you. I'm trying to download the pictures of the cake. I ordered the pregnant belly, the breast was way too big than the belly, the hawk's hand is smashed and cracked the cake taste awful. None of my guests ate the cake. I feel bad for people who ordered their wedding cakes because that was once in a lifetime for them, this is only baby shower and iI can assure you iI won't go back to this witch.

Found Chef Bess and LadyCakes Bakery as a recommendation from Bailey's General Store's bakery chef for our wedding cake. Our concern when looking for a baker was if there would be an issue baking for a same-gender couple, and Chef Bess quickly put that concern to rest. She was a delight to talk to and offered creative and tasty suggestions for our cake and accompanying cupcakes. We chose a raspberry cake with lemon frosting for the main 6" cake, which included a Lego design (the topper was made by myself using Lego bricks). we also had chocolate cupcakes with a raspberry jelly center and vanilla bean frosting and yellow cupcakes with rainbow-swirled salted caramel coffee frosting. We will be returning on our anniversary for more!

I gave LadyCakes the challenge of a lifetime...make my son's Graduation cake for a party for all my family and friends. We worked back and forth on the details and on the day of the party an amazing University of Florida/PIKE, Florida Gator graduation cake arrived and wowed all who were in attendance. Thank you so very much for exceeding my expectations LadyCakes!!
