We obviously knew that the construction would take a lot longer but didn't immediately realize that the costs would go up and finding subcontractors would take longer. Although the time line was longer and the costs more than what we originally thought, once the ball started rolling, the work happened quickly, efficiently and communication was weekly if not daily. It's daunting to renovate from five states away but Andy made it a much easier process with being our "boots on the ground" and keeping us updated on all issues. This project was important to us as this was our forever home to share with future generations. Andy and Carney understood the importance of that and treated the project with the care and quality that's expected. Great job!!

The driving force was always Jeff. He was tough, an eagle eye, unrelenting, always around and, kind all at the right time.One thing I had heard from friends building a house were the mistakes. I learned mistakes will be made. I also learned it's how mistakes are handled that endeared me to the team, especially Jeff and Andy! They turned each mistake into a positive outcome. It was pretty amazing to watch actually.No Change Orders - I know we changed our minds about some things. But somehow Jeff and the team figured out how to make our wishes come about without them. That was nice.The Permit - We were very concerned with all we heard about permitting delays and the government rules after the storm. The team told us not to worry, they would manage that. We are very very grateful for that expertise.Brian and his buddy were over yesterday for a final task and they did their usual perfect job. I can't remember his buddy's name but whenever we thanked those two for the job they did he had a smile that brightens up the whole house. After flood damage from hurricane Ian, Carney Quality Construction basically rebuilt the bottom 4' of my house. While making the repairs, there were quite a few "as long as we've gone this far, we may as well do this" improvements that we decided we wanted along the way. The Carney crew always listened to our wishes, helped us revise them when necessary, and the end results more than met our expectations. Everyone was easy to communicate and work with along the way, and the overall quality of the work is great. At a time when it was almost impossible to get a general contractor to answer a phone call, let alone show up for an estimate, Carney stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park for us. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, and they will be the first ones I call if I ever need a general contractor again for any reason.

I hired this company to put in new flooring over the previous floor installed by a different contractor.The first floor was completely unacceptable; the professional way my new floor was installed turnedout beautifully. I followed the advice I was given by Mr. John Carney, and his experience proved to beinvaluable for this aspect of the project.Also the color of my kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities were a depressing “prison gray”.The kitchen cabinets were repainted a very soft, light gray and the vanities were painted white.These all turned out so well, no one would guess they had been changed from their originalcolor.My condo desperately needed more storage so custom-made cabinetry was designed and installed.This was exactly what I requested!The previous owners of my condo had removed the sliding doors going onto the lanai. Althoughthis was a good idea, the opening looked bare and unfinished. One of John’s employees suggesteda design that would add trim around the opening. The end result was amazing!I also had two “fireplaces” installed by a previous contractor; the end result was less than satisfactory.Another one of John’s employees suggested exchanging the heaters in both, AND researched untilhe found units he felt would give a more realistic appearance. Again this change was remarkable.There were also smaller items that were all completed successfully.Every employee who worked on my project was very professional, polite, and took great pride intheir specialized area of responsibility.Although it is so difficult to praise a few employees (since they all were so good), I do have to sayPaulo was truly exceptional. He seemed quite capable of doing anything that required attention.I told Chas that I admired his tenacity. He was wonderful at keeping me informed as the projectprogressed, but he also would not give up on a problem! He would stay on it until he found asolution. Also, a very young man named Kevin, who worked at painting my kitchen cabinets, wasmeticulous and had such a strong work ethic.I highly recommend this company for the quality of their work.
