I went there June 29th thru the morning of 7-2-23 rm 306 clearwater fl. we had a very early flight the morning of July 2nd. I realized I left my very expensive glasses on the night stand i then called the hotel at 6am July 2nd. The lady who answered got my address then said she would find my glasses then mail them I called back once I was home to be sure they were mailed. The man who answered said "well if they did not get your credit card info they have not been mailed, and if we do not call you back it means we did not find them" I asked him to find out bc I am certain they are on the night stand, he said he would call me if they were. I called back to speak with a manager and when I got one told him It was serious, that they are expensive glasses and I did not think the person I spoke with took this seriously. He said mam that was me, and if we find the glasses we will call you. No one ever called. I feel no effort was made to help me, this is terrible customer service!

Breakfast was very disappointing. Valerie at the tiki bar by the pool was extremely rude. Waited almost an hour for a drink and then finally gave up. Day after this we were all charged incorrectly for our drinks which seemed to really set her off as she loudly talked about us making things difficult in front us because we were overcharged. Overall I would not recommend this hotel

Last minute decision after driving over from Florida’s East coast to watch the sunset…was the best decision that I had made that day. The room was spacious and affordable. The front desk was helpful and the view with the infinity pool was a bonus. The roof top bar was energetic and fun. There were three bridal parties up there…and one carefree server named Autumn who had everyone’s attention. All in all we will be back!

I made the mistake of leaving my car keys in the room safe. I called the same day, but from the opposite side of the country, and reported it. I asked to have them overnight mailed to me at my expense. It's a new car and I temporarily only have 1 key to it. I have no other way of starting the car. I was told I needed to speak to a manager and one would be in Sunday. Called Sunday, no manager and no one else could help me. Called Monday, no manager. Called Tuesday, no manager. Finally got a manager of Wednesday. He said it was mailed "the fastest possible way" but declined to say it was overnight. Nothing arrived Thursday. Called the hotel Friday. Different manager. He found a USPS tracking number. USPS does not recognize the number. I verified it with him but he's not the manager who supposedly sent it. Still waiting. How hard is it to overnight some keys to a customer? Tomorrow will be one week! No one there seems to care. If it was their only car key I bet they would. My stay and room were ok. No complaints there but the management is exhibiting the worst customer service I have ever encountered at a hotel.

The worst hotel to stay in. They are miss leading and have hidden fees. Spoke the manager Mike and he was rude and didn't care about my complain or concern. I reserved a pool view and they gave me a pool view of the hotel next door plus I was not told about any additional fees. The front desk told me we had complimentary parking and breakfast and this was not true. Plus pool closes at 10p.. The worst experience every in a hotel would not recommend.. Stay away

This was the most awful experience.. Do not stay here. When I booked I was promised a pool view and complimentary breakfast along with free parking. I checked out and when I looked at my credit card, I was being charged amenities fees, which was to use the wifi, pool and breakfast. When I called to speak to the manger Mike, he was the worst. He told me I got a pool view which in fact the pool of the hotel next door. The parking that was free for staying at the hotel was being charged and the complimentary breakfast was being charged. The manager Mike was not willing to help or go above and beyond for his guests. I will never recommend this hotel or stay here again. There are hidden fees that they do not mention. They keep telling you its complimentary but it's not.

You are paying for location and view. We booked an ocean front room, sitting out in the balcony listening to live music, watching the birds, manatees, dolphins & sunset was the highlight of the hotel. The shared areas are nice, sadly the rooms need updating at the very least room carpet clean or replaced, it was dirty and smelly. There were two baby roaches in bathroom & dresser drawer in our room. Note for business travelers the wifi at the edge is completely public no password required. I called front desk and they said thats the only wifi they have. I expected more for the price I paid at the very least a clean room and a somewhat secure wifi, as a business traveler I had work to do and had no choice but to log in through cellphone hotspot which kept crashing. That being said I would not stay there again unless they upgrade & fumigate the rooms, and a separate wifi set with a password for hotel guest.

Hotel called me at 145 AM wondering where I was and I said I had already called so now I've talked to them twice! All set. Got to hotel, no reservation, no room for me even thought there were rooms available! Wouldn't help me. Said it was a different type of room and coudn't put me in there. Blamed 3rd party, which could be true, who knows, but would not help me!! If I got a 3rd party refund, wouldn't give me room for same price I paid but $200 more a night! Stood there for over 4 hours and there was no understanding, humanity, hospitality. Was homeless at night on vacation. Manager wouldn't make eye contact, kept going in back room. NOT how you treat people. Funny how the Holiday Inn next door was able to give me a great rate (less than their website and other sites) and be understanding and helpful.

Had a great stay at the Edge. Good location just a 5 minute walk to the beach, good restaurants really close....had a king suite...amazing room...cali king bed was sooooo comfortable!! Quiet floor and a view of the gulf and bay! Had a minor room issue and was quickly and easily taken care of by the staff. Staff was super efficient and friendly. Pool and bar were a nice place to relax. Only negative was the continental breakfast...no variety...cereal, yogurts and breads...hotel stuff. Overall a great place...definitely reccomend!!

Very disappointed. Booked like we do every year for past 5 years at this hotel and love it except for today. Booked a king room with pool view and when arrived at room no pool view. It’s a view off of the side of hotel and a view of the hotel next doors pool. Went to check in desk to inquire and was told well you have a view of the pool next door. Pool view and view of the sunset not happening this time. Very disappointed in the response from front desk and attitude I was given because I booked my room thru a third party I was told. Past review I gave was glowing but this experience has completely changed it.

Me and my husband stayed here in November 2022. We usually stay at Shepherds but decided to try a new place. The hotel was clean and had a lovely lobby area. Upon check in we were given a room with the most beautiful view. We were excited to get downstairs to the famous edge pool and have a bloody mary. There was only one bartender and he was very busy so we waited a while to order. He told us to have a seat by the pool and he would bring them over, 15 mins went by and he hadn’t made our drinks. We went back to the bar and he then tells us he is out of bloody mary mix since the previous person didn’t stock and has to leave and go upstairs to get some. At that point we just asked for a beer and said forget the bloody mary’s. Not the greatest start but we had our beer and enjoyed the edge pool. The next day we noticed a similar theme with what seemed to be very few staff around (besides the nice gentleman at the front desk) and this time the edge pool had some rowdy guests in the pool. They were also smoking in the pool and I didn’t think that was allowed. They were using foul language and behaving inappropriately. (one guy was thrusting on a girl against the edge of the pool- gross!) One might ask why we didn’t complain but there were 2 employees at the bar serving this group of people and they could see them smoking and see their behavior. I assume they were all drunk- it is vacation- but no excuse. It was uncomfortable and we didn’t stay long at the pool. Thankfully no children were around at that time. The rest of our vacation was uneventful and we enjoyed the pool and also spent some time at Jimmys upstairs. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. All of the employees were friendly and overall I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again , I just think they need more employees around to monitor guests. Maybe they were short staffed during our trip, Idk. The free continental breakfast was basic but very nice. Again we overall liked this hotel and it’s a great option in Clearwater Beach. I think what we witnessed at the pool was an isolated event and I debated to even leave it in my review but I like to be honest in my review.

Our family took an impromptu trip to Clearwater for 4 days. We absolutely love the Edge Hotel and will definitely return. We have stayed other places and they are not as great as Edge. However, I’m hoping it was because we came last minute, but if you have a family request not to stay in the 9th floor rooms under the bar. The music is loud through the ceiling. Everything else is great!
