We were not expecting the quality this place delivers. Went with my family who are mild sushi fans, they were happy with the place but i was very positively surprised by both quality of rolls and service level.I’d love to go back for a more thorough experience. Definitely recommend for sushi/japanese option.

This is the second day of my vacation in the Clearwater area and my wife and I were craving some Asian food, the service is slow and pretty average, the food is quite good, I had the Hibachi Filet and my wife had the California rolls, overall recommend.
Food was just right. I had the scallops, my husband had the chicken hibachi. We had a sashimi boat and all was delish! Service was quick and food was very tasty. Close to everything and across the road from courtyard Marriott and Coco's Clean with outside seating Small dining area with great food.

We made a reservation for 8:00 and it is 9:30 and still waiting….service was TERRIBLE and I don’t normally complain about anything. We arrived at 7:50 and was told “everyone made a reservation”. If we would’ve known the business we would have went elsewhere. This was RIDICULOUS. I stood and waited at the counter for over 40 minutes to be seated after the reservation that we called for at 11:00 this morning. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

They were severely under-staffed tonight with huge parties that were not getting the attention that we got as a smaller party with kids. That said, it is a tiny restaurant and not well suited to large parties.We hadmiso soup- very flavorful and goodShrimp Shumai- good, not greatSushi rolls were fantastic.We tried a special of bluefin tuna and it as buttery and delicious.Chicken fried rice was also good.Vegetarian options: They have several vegetarian rolls.Kid-friendliness: There were kids at every table- nothing special for them, but child friendly.

I am pretty hard to please when it comes to sushi, as there are so many average places out there, but Hot Sake ticks all the marks as excellent - fresh, amazing variety, well prepared and presented, and very helpful friendly folks. The Omakase board was amazing!They also include a good selection of Sake. Price is, well, in line with the area, but higher in general.Nice little patio area we enjoyed (though it is just a parking lot view. Can recommend for sure.

This moron took our reservation for 3 (we have a kid with a booster seat), then when we arrived tried to sit us at sushi bar and refused to give us a table because they saved 13 seats for a party of 15 year old fucktard girls who arrived at the same time we did. Great waste of a Thursday night dinner and Uber fees. They should be ashamed. Go elsewhere
We paid with a card last night for dinner. I tipped on cash. This morning when I checked my account I was charged on the card the total plus what I tipped in cash. So double tipped. I wrote on the receipt cash. Should not have been charged a tip on the card. Tried calling today and they are closed. I will change from one star to five stars once this is adjusted. This was going to be our new spot. Hope it’s an honest mistake. Will call again tomorrow when they open.

Stumbled upon this sushi spot and was pleasantly surprised at the service and quality of the sashimi. We ordered the love boat for 2 people, a la carte tamago and the Japanese uni. It was more than enough food for me and my husband. The love boat consisted of 1 sushi roll, sashimi and sushi. The quality of the fish was very fresh. I was so happy I got the last piece of the Japanese uni. It was so sweet and melted in your mouth. Will highly recommend. Thank you to the servers for putting up with our screaming toddler!
