Housekeeping did not change the bed sheets, towels or anything during our stay our room was always avoided. When you call housekeeping nobody ever answers the phone. When you stay you do smell a lot of pot, which they need to make a new policy for the place so others can enjoy their stay. The pool and hot tub is only open until 7pm and you don’t get much time to enjoy it during the evening hours unlike other hotels that have their pool open until 11pm.

So I go to get food here and the lady behind the bar said they shut down the food grill at 8pm because it was slow the guy at the front desk tells me the the grill is not working ! Not good business u ask

Bayside Grill food was terrible. The breakfast buffet was great. Front desk staff was more than accommodating. The room was awesome. Big mini fridge with freezer. Microwave. Couch. More than enough for 2 people.

The room is full of roaches!! Killed atleast 15 roaches in two days!The fixtures in the bathroom are falling off the walls!The room was not dirty beds are comfortable but be ready with bug spray and clean with bleach!

If you want a filthy room that reeked of cigarette smoke and pot this is the place for you. We both woke up with pounding headaches and could not get out of the place fast enough. I just shoot my head as the roaches scrambled when I turned the bathroom light on. Can't imagine how Clarion would allow their name on this place.

This hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures!!! The room smelled, was moist, had rust on the bathroom fixtures (including the toilet paper holder) and was literally so bad that I had to forego the money I had already spent for 4 nights and pay to go to another hotel. I will never be fooled again by pictures and a “very good” rating! I thought it seemed like a decent deal for the price, but for what I paid between losing money there and a new hotel, I could have stayed right on the beach. Do not let the pictures fool you… it is a dump!!

Staff was extremely rude and refused to give me a refund when I complained about the bugs. They said, "welcome to Florida " and said my attitude was the reason they wouldn't give me a full refund. There were small bugs crawling all over the walls and a giant cockroach by the bed. They offered a different room, which I refused d/t the smell and condition of the property.

This expensive hotel, is just a couple of miles from Clearwater Beach- clearly a vacation not business hotel. Yet everything closes at 9pm & there's nothing to do- bar restaurant pool jacuzzi done at 9. I'm 64 but I will never again stay at this nursing home. I might as well add the door lock & tp holder is broken. Check in is 4 they roll up the carpet at 9.

This is a long list of disappointments. Read on if you wish. I'll preface by saying my partner and I are well travelled. Italy, several Caribbean countries, all over the States. Some places were better than others, but I never felt the need to write a review like this. After we checked in and got our luggage, at the door to the room was a toilet plunger. Disgusting, but I guess mistakes happen. Inside the room: the ceiling light fixture didn't work. The maintenance man came promptly and explained why he would not be able to fix this electrical problem. He was very apologetic. Next the light fixture over the sink didn't work. He came back and replaced the fixture and bulb. Also, the room safe was open in the locked position and couldn't be used. The drain in the shower didn't work properly. You're standing in soapy water over your ankles and when all you want to do is dry off, you had to stand in this water until it drained a couple of minutes later. The manager assigned us this when we booked over a month in advance. It seems he didn't know or didn't care how badly this room had fallen into disrepair. He didn't bother checking. Clarion had my money and that was that. We decided to go elsewhere, got the last available room at LaQuinta, and they will get their own review, when I get home, the complete opposite experience. Hotels were in short supply, as Blue Jay and Philly fans were filling them up. Here's the kicker: when I checked out that first morning I told the day receptionist that I understood there would be a one day early checkout penalty and the rest could be refunded to my card. She looked at her computer and informed me that I received the rate for pre pay, no cancellation, "so you're not getting any money back"....her exact words this morning. Anyway, if she's going to throw around contractual obligations, Clarion was to provide a room that wasn't a shambles, right? I walked away from my 4 night payment and paid all over again at LaQuinta. To call this room shabby would be too high a compliment. I give this hotel a 1 star rating, which it earned because the maintenance man and cleaning lady were polite, and not to blame for the sad condition. My partner took pictures and will post them with her review in a week or so when we are home. Two week vacation, one horrible night and some money down the drain. Avoid this hotel.

Central location close to lots of restaurants. Hotel is very outdated, carpet in our room was very sticky, room was very humid, door was also very hard to close and even saw a baby roach in the sink. Plenty of parking and kids enjoyed the game room but would not stay here again due to lack of cleanliness.
I looked forward to lounging in the bed to wind down each evening of our stay...lots of pillows and a mattress so close to the comfort of mine at home that I slept just as good as at home (as long as I blocked out the random noises with ear plugs, also about like home ;) ) Easy access to the building, nice pool area, small arcade room, decent hot breakfast. One morning the breakfast was basically out of food for the last half hour or more so we settled for a waffle but the other morning we were there, they had the most amazing biscuits along with eggs, yogurt , bread, cereal and the waffles. We had a suite with pull out couch and they had plentiful bedding for that in the closet which some hotels don't have. The shower and toilet part of the bath could use a facelift due to some rust and dirty-looking spots, but they were just worn and, as I said, I will overlook those for the comfy bed.

Minor maintenance issues (carpet tacks-ouch!), maid service needs training, did not replace things like coffee cups & TP, or wash cloths & hand towels. Hot breakfast including eggs, sausage, waffles & more! Beach only 10-15 minutes away.

my room smelled like cat p*ss when I first walked in, After talking to the front desk they came down and sprayed but it didnt last long. Also the arcade room just takes your money, at least it did for all the games i tried.
