We went here last night for the first time. Was craving some authentic Mexican food. Took forever for them to take our order, and there was only 2 other tables in there. Finally when she came back to take our order , I ordered the mix fajitas and he ordered the dorados. When we received our food the fajitas were pitiful, a plate with rice, beans, 3 tiny shrimp, steakum meat for the steak, and pounded out chicken with tiny wraps. No sour cream, no cheese, nothing. It was awful! The meat was so dry, no flavor! And his were 4 tiny chicken straws! The server never came back. Awful! I didn’t even eat 1/2 of my food. Needless to say we went elsewhere to eat after paying $26.00 for garbage. We will stick to Carmelita’s from now on. Save your money! Garbage!

Love this Mexican place. It is one of my favorite places to eat Mexican food in Clearwater. The food is great, the staff is super humble, and the drinks are very affordable.The only thing negative I will say is that sometimes the restaurant will allow third-party vendors to come into the restaurant and start selling goods or services. I understand they're trying to help their community, but at the same time, some of us do not want to be bothered while we are dining.I highly recommend this restaurant. One of the best if you're looking for great food in the area.

Service was great. Atmosphere and hours great. Chips were stale in both take out meals. Carne asada stringy, chewy and bland. Verde sauce was good but mild. Burrito tasted like just cheese and beef in a tortilla. Overall cooking and prep needs improvement but the pricing is good and portions are good.Kid-friendliness: Welcoming and nice to children, though it is a bar atmosphereParking: Lots of spaces

It’s very authentic food. The place doesn't look very fancy but I don’t understand the bad reviews as the food is really good and everyone is so friendly. My husband got huevos a la Mexicana and got chilaquiles, food was really good and spicy ?️This isn't Tex-Mex. So give it a chance if you want to try something more authentic.
