We stumbled upon this place as we were going to the Saturday market in Coral Gables. Walked in and was greeted so kindly and happy by the girl at the register. We sat on the patio since we had our dog with us. When they brought our food, they also brought a dog bowl with water and ice, as well as a little doggie bone treat for my pup. We ate the club Panini, and had the café con Leche. They both were delicious. We will be back!!

Cute little cafe, we waited maximum 5 minutes for our food and drinks, super fast, nice and polite workers. Kind pricey for breakfast(for a person like me that is not used to big cities) but it was worth it!

We have been here almost a dozen times, but today was our last due to the rude wait staff. Two incidents: we visited with my mother who asked for her eggs well done. They brought us runny eggs and my mom asked if they could redo them. The wait staff gave us attitude and ended up charging us for an extra egg.Today we ordered lattes to go and sat at a table outside waiting for our drinks to be prepared. (With the big number sign they gave us). The waitress scolded us we said we could not sit at any table, despite us being paying customers! The food is decent (although expensive for what you get)

I recently just had lunch at Chef Sucre Cafe and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. While I placed an order for a dish with sausage, I received bacon instead. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they refused to exchange the item, citing their policy of confirming orders before payment. Despite explaining the error, they insisted that I should have noticed during the order confirmation. Additionally, their solution was to suggest purchasing a side of sausage at an extra cost. The lack of willingness to correct their mistake and the insistence on blaming the customer for the error was disappointing. It's understandable that mistakes happen, but it's the responsibility of the restaurant to make things right for their customers. Unfortunately, their inflexible approach to customer service left me feeling dissatisfied with my experience.

My visit to Sucre was unfortunately marred by an experience that left much to be desired in terms of customer service and flexibility. After eagerly anticipating my meal based on numerous positive reviews, the reality of the situation fell drastically short of expectations.Upon arrival, the ambiance of the restaurant promised a delightful dining experience. However, the moment of truth arrived with the delivery of our orders. An incorrect item was served to me, a simple mistake, yet it was the restaurant's response to this error that truly dampened the evening. When I politely pointed out the mix-up, hoping for a quick resolution, I was met with an unexpected and unwarranted resistanceRequesting merely to have the correct item brought out, I was told, much to my astonishment, that it would not be possible to make the switch. No explanation was provided, nor any attempt at a compromise. The refusal to correct a straightforward error displayed a glaring disregard for customer satisfaction and service. This experience was not only about the inconvenience of receiving an incorrect order but more so about the principle of customer care and service recovery. Mistakes happen, and they are understandable, but the unwillingness to address and amend them is unacceptable. It was disheartening to see a business choose to stand firm on an error at the expense of customer satisfaction. The rest of the meal passed without incident, but the initial interaction cast a shadow over the entire dining experience. It is a basic expectation that a restaurant acknowledges its mistakes and strives to rectify them, ensuring customers leave happy and satisfied. Unfortunately, Sucre failed to meet these fundamental standards of hospitality and customer service. To future patrons, I advise caution and lowered expectations should you choose to dine here. It seems that when faced with challenges, the establishment's priority is not the diner's satisfaction. In a world where dining options are plentiful, it might be worthwhile to seek out establishments that value their customers and understand the importance of rectifying mistakes when they occur.

I recently visited Sucre and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I ordered a dish with sausage, but was served bacon instead. When I politely asked if it could be switched, the staff declined, which left me disappointed with the customer service. It's important for restaurants to accommodate customer preferences, and this instance fell short in that regard. The overall dining experience was affected by this oversight, and I hope the management takes steps to improve customer satisfaction.

This review is for the service staff and the owner for that matter. I stopped by today before 3pm. Doors were open and there were people inside. There were 3-4 employees chatting by the coffee machines. One of the girls said sorry, we just closed. This small coffee place is a few blocks from Starbucks so I was trying to support small instead of the big Starbucks franchise. I was going to place a large order for 8 people. Located in Coral Gables, Im sure rent is not cheap. I can't speak for the quality of the food or drinks but a cafe in the middle of Miami on a cool day closes before 3pm?? Really?? Are they trying to make money or is this a hobby I wonder. Then they complain when the big franchises eat them up. It would have taken them 10 more minutes to serve a new customer, give a good experience and get the sale. And 3 more people walked in after me and walked right out. Small business need to take all the opportunities given and be more flexible IMO.

Visiting from CA and was really caught off guard with how rude the staff was. Our table was taking some time to look over the menu, as it was our first time. One waitress hurried to our table and told us we need to order ‘now’ because other people are needing tables. (The restaurant was half empty mind you). Another family came in after us and took just as long, and they weren’t scolded. Didn’t appreciate the service here.

Excellent food! My husband had their croque madame and absolutely loved it. The avocado toast with salad was delicious and our teen daughters enjoyed their meals as well. Service was great too!

It was my first and last experience at Sucre Cafe. The moment we walked in we got the menu and sat down. I was in line while my husband sat at the table when the waitress approached him twice wanting him to get up from the table because he needed to make the line first. We walked out due to the rudeness of the waitress and her unprofessional ways.

Walked up with a group of 7. We moved a table like 2 feet. We’re told we were unable to combine tables outside due to “restaurant rules” first time in my life I’ve ever had a restaurant not allow accommodations for a group. Their loss, lost a $150-$200 table and guaranteed never coming back again.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. It's not pet-friendly or family-friendly, which limited our dining options. To make matters worse, we were told that we couldn't move the tables due to restaurant rules, which resulted in us leaving the restaurant. I was expecting a more accommodating and welcoming atmosphere. I hope the restaurant owners will consider making changes to improve the overall customer experience
