I wanted to try Portosole for my birthday, but sadly I was dissapointed with the food. I ordered a caccio peppe pasta, my mom ordered the zucchini and provolone pasta. The pasta was almost uneatable, it was extremely, extremely salty. It literally tasted like we were eating pasta with cheese and ocean water. It was terrible. My husband ordered the baby lamb chops and he was also dissapointed. They were bland and the potatoes looked and tasted old. I really wanted to love this restaurant but we had a bad experience with the food. We didn't say anything since it was my birthday and we didn't want to be uncomfortable, also our server never asked if everything was ok after the food came.I am only giving 2 stars because the restaurant looks clean and it was really pretty. Other than that really dissapointed.

An authentic, gem of an Italian restaurant. If you want a meal bigger than the size of your head, order the veal! Also, the truffles are a must for the cacio e pepe. We ate every bite of the chocolate torta - might’ve even scraped the plate!

This was one of the best dinning experiences I have had in Miami in terms of service. The staff from the moment you walked in were so welcoming and attentive. The owner came by at the beginning of the meal to say hello so I was already excited to try the food. I was so happy they had a vegan appetizers which was fried artichoke hearts with lemon and a dipping sauce. It was delicious and for my main I was eating light so I had a the salad with beets. They also could have made another pasta dish for me as well. My friends ordered Ravioli Di Ossobuco allo Zafferano and the short rib ravioli all which were fantastic! The best part of the table-side lemon gelato dessert drink with Prosecco, vodka and topped off with coffee beans. They also made me a virgin drink. The only thing which would have made it better would be to have had another vegan main on the menu. But they said they would make whatever I wanted! Amazing restaurant

Delicious homemade pasta. I show you only one photo: the dessert. So you can imagine the other exquisite dishes. The service was excellent. Good selection of wines.

Looking forward to an amazing dining experience, but left a very disappointed. Service at the beginning was professional and very nice. We ordered appetizer which was ok, then the main course I ordered ravioli stuffed with osso buco on a stage and saffron sauce. This was watery and tasteless. I was asked to change to another pasta, which I ordered the most simple plate, the Cacio e pepe. This was very tasty, but the pasta was undercooked. When waiter came to check he asked I told him. Seemed very bothered and annoyed. We paid and left, once again, very disappointed. Too many great restaurants in Coral Gables to ever set foot here again.

I don't usually rate 5 stars at Italian restaurants because being Italian myself I have very high standards and expectations on it. Nonetheless, this place definitely knew how to make authentic Eggplant Parmigiana and meatballs. It was all about the sauce really. The ambience of the restaurant felt like a nice romantic and authentic Italian restaurant. I highly recommend it over any other Italian restaurant in Coral Gables. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He kept coming to our table to serve me wine. I was very impressed and would recommend this place 1000%.

Do yourself a favor and pick another place! The food here tasted like 2 day old leftovers, not good at all. The service was pretty iffy as well. Just not a good restaurant I was definitely expecting more.

Excellent restaurant, from the ambiance to the service to the food. We tried the linguini al vongole with botarga and clams, the ravioli with funghi, the caccio ‘e peppe and the tomahawk. Every dish was better than the previous one.
