I had my baby shower at The Globe. The communication from day 1 was excellent and they worked with us on all our rests. The venue is so pretty and looked very whimsical. The staff day of was great and super helpful. The food was also delicious and all the guests loved it. I would 100% have another party at this venue. It is a 10 out of 10 experience overall.

2/2 Had to open a second account to finish this review . I honesty felt for the first time discriminated against in my own hometown, surrounded by musician friends that I went to see, and friends I had brought. I told the waitress that if they had simply communicated we'd be happy to do whatever they want. She replies "you have to come up and ask for a table and order food to sit down," Attempting to be the bigger person and diffuse the cold attitude and show them that we are compliant (why am I going through this work as a paying consumer who is going out for a relaxing dinner and music experience?) I say ok, would you like us to restart the process and get up and put us down? She coldly says no, you're already sitting so it's fine. And then points out the glasses the other party left and asking why we sat down there when there's glasses left. We're here to watch the musicians . What is with this elitist vibe and verbal manipulation to get to the bottom of our existence and choice of table in this place? I couldn't even enjoy my night after as I was so hurt and felt personally attacked by the first waitresses threat and assumption that we are not willing to BUY. No, that's what it all comes down to , these waitresses assumed we were coming to loiter , or not BUY and contribute to what is definitely their HIGH RENT. Which is not your customers problem!!!! You ladies need to look for another field! I will continue to spread the message about the Globe to locals and the music community which won't bode well for this establishment. It is a shame that whoever founded this beautiful location has left their restaurant in the hands of cold, unfriendly, fake, elitist, discriminators. I wanted to speak to an owner or manager only to find out the second waitress who blindly listened to the first employee was the OWNER. SHOCKER. Usually owners and entrepreneurs are intelligent enough to know that it is their job to create an atmosphere where people want to consume and contribute . Not only that, if you have rules, GREET YOUR CUSTOMERS AND LET THEM KNOW WHAT YOU EXPECT. They let us roam around freely without communication only to then get mad and threaten to kick us out? On the way out after paying our $200 tab the waitress coldly and at a very low voice says thanks for coming. In her tone I definitely felt like she knew the way they treated us was wrong and I just ignored her and left because I was extremely close to saying all this to their face, which I know is moot because , her expression when I called her over to the table showed that she was for some reason disturbed by our presence. To close it off: young people , musicians , people of color, don't bother with this establishment. It is built for the old white and racist Cuban folk of Coral Gables. As a 3rd generation Cuban 24 year old musician. I said what I said. Do your job and Serve, communicate and host. And the food was honestly mediocre. So was the music. This establishment is not a true Miami staple, just another money hungry white ran clout chasing country club.

Had an absolutely horrible experience when I went to see my friend playing in the band at the Globe. When we came in, like any bar/ restaurant that has live jazz in Miami, you can sit wherever and mingle with the musicians and friends. I brought 7 friends with me to the Globe where we proceeded to all order drinks and walked to the tables near the stage. We sat down out of the way at an open table on the side of the restaurant that a crammed corner. The waitress came up to us and told us that the table is reserved and we can't sit there and walked away. Then a huge party which was right in front of the stage got up and left so naturally seeing the opportunity to get close to the musicians we came to see, we sat down. The waitress came up to me and my friend and with a huge attitude said something along the lines of "if you're going to sit here you have to at least order dinner, or you can go somewhere else." And storms away. Mind you this was the first communication we had with any of the staff, so it was quite chilling to be confronted rudely as if we had personally offended her or had created an intrusion by our presence. Not a way to treat people who are willing to pay, nevertheless Miami locals. The way she said it made it seem like she was taking out past experiences with young people out on us, as if we didn't have money to spend or anything to contribute and were somehow taking advantage. This kind of attitude and confrontation would be understood if anyone had communicated with us about seating/dining rules, yet when we arrived no one communicated ANYTHING to us, leaving room for us to navigate the location freely, based on our wanting to see the musicians up close. After she storms away, instead of causing a scene I informed my friends who were still standing that for them to join the table we need to order food, since those were the restrictions she placed on our party, otherwise threatening to kick us out despite us just sitting quietly watching the musicians. We were all happy to order food and so I tried to get the attention of the waitress with my eyes or my hand, yet her anger prevented her from being able to make eye contact with me as she darted across the room angrily avoiding further contact with me, for some odd reason. So, I flagged down the other waitress who ROLLS HER EYES, and with a visible frown comes up and silently waits for me to speak. An incredibly hostile, unwelcoming environment . What is the point of working in this field when your job is to ensure that the customers are on the same page as your business, which is the REASON for having a hostess or waitress. No, these ladies seemed happy to cater to the older, whiter demographic , as I observed them laughing and chatting away with a super old white guy. Mind you, I'm not even visibly POC, and I've never felt discriminated against, but these ladies for the first time made me question what it was about me and the group of people I was with to make us deserve that behavior. I have dark hair , dark eyes and look Hispanic Forsure , and I'm young and dress well. Some of my friends were dressed very causal , it was a super diverse group that you wouldn't be able to tell what our demographic or financial status is. Which no human being should ever do or assume, yet I felt as if she was assuming that we were there to take advantage when all we did was bring our business , enthusiasm for the music and sat down. When the other waitress finally comes up to me , I explain to her that we didn't know you had to order food to sit down, and if someone had just communicated with us we would be happy to do whatever it is they wanted. She proceeds to very coldly explain that you have to go up and ask for a table before you sit down. Finally! Incredible that I had to be threatened to be thrown out and then ignored, and put in my energy to flag down the other waitress to be told what they expect of their customers. Usually restaurant staff greets consumers and fills them in warmly on their protocol. Both waitr

We attended a bridal shower and I hadn't been to the globe in years. It looked amazing. The food was delicious. I wish I had taken pictures of the appetizers. There were empanadas that were absolutely delicious. I loved the sweet potato ravioli which should speak volumes since I don't like sweet potato. The drinks were also great and the amazing bartenders could literally make anything asked of them (and make it really well). The Globe, apart from having live music and dinner, also offers the space for events during the day. I can't wait to go back for a live show and to try their other menu items!

My favorite place for jazz. Best musicians in the city! Food, service, atmosphere are great too! The only negative thing about the place tonight (Saturday) was the small group of people yelling at the TV (football game) while the musicians were playing. OWNERS: Please turn the TV off when there is live music. Having it on is disrespectful to the musicians and to the patrons who come to listen. Most people come here on Saturdays to listen to jazz not for a sports bar atmosphere.

Went for lunch, super nice atmosphere! The drinks and food were comparable to their price. The bleu cheese salad I had was to die for! Incredible and highly recommend!
