Wish someone would have updated Google to let us know that this location is no longer Pit Hut and its Bakery & Cafe shop.

I'm being gracious with my stars but the main meal -- the meats, anyway -- were pretty good. But the service and overall experience just were ridiculous. The gal behind the counter where you ordered was clueless about the food and most everything in general. One description she gave she was able to read off a piece of notebook paper, but otherwise, she was no help at all telling us our options, what were on the plates, and especially about the sauces and condiments. I'm not sure if she had a language problem understanding English in addition, but she definitely knew nothing about middle eastern food. Or sadly much of anything else. We got their combo plate with a choice of 3 meats. For our side, we chose salad twice. We also ordered Turkish tea which she told us came in a small pot with enough for two people. There was no one else eating in the restaurant while we there, about an hour, although one person did come in to pickup his lunch. We got our food and asked for another plate -- as we were sharing. Everything comes on paper/styrofoam plates and the ware is plastic. We were given a small cup of mashed garlic!...and We were told that was the salad dressing!! I asked for something else and she gave us another small cup. She said she didn't know what it was... but they put it on the hummus. (It turned out to be olive oil). The two other "sauces" we think were thin yogurt and we don't know... because she couldn't tell us what they were and what they went with. We'd gotten a bottle of water during our meal, but had been hoping to have the mint tea with it. Over 30 minutes later, we were given two paper cups with hot tea in them. The strong tea definitely needed sweetener. She'd given us regular sugar and we asked if she had anything else like Splenda (equal; sweet n low). She didn't understand what we were asking and instead showed us the actual sugar box. So we guessed no they didn't have any. I went to our car and grabbed a few packets to use. So bottom line:: The plain salad was fresh, but would have been better with dressing. The meats were fine; This place has so much potential and yet it was so disappointing. And frustrating. And no, we won't be back.

Always happy to try middle eastern cuisine, more specifically "good" middle eastern fare... Unfortunately "good" is not the term that applies here. The gal at the front taking our order could not offer any descriptive helpful information other than what was on the overhead menu board. She was not knowledgeable or inexperienced in the cuisine offered here. The 3 meats we ordered in our combo platter, ( Beef Shwarma, KEFTA KABOB AND GRILLED CHICKEN), were ok and would have been better with corresponding sauces. We were given a watery yogurt dressing for the meats, a cup of tabasco from LA...not anywhere from the middle east), and cups of yellow garlic paste for our salads. When my wife asked for something to thin out the garlic paste, the gal brought out a cup of something she said she honestly did not know what it was but they poured it on top of the hummus. We figured out it was olive oil. When we finally got our Arabic tea that took 37 minutes to brew, it was served with sugar packets. We asked for Splenda or other artificial sweetener and was told "no", but the gal, trying to be helpful, brought out a 5 pound bag of sugar from the kitchen. (My wife went out to the car to retrieve some Splenda packets for us). 2 hrs later I'm still trying to get the garlic paste taste out of my mouth and rumbling tummy.

My 1st time ordering delivery from here and am utterly disappointed. I ordered a Mediterranean salad with Gyro and a side of hummus. In other Mediterranean restaurants pita bread is served with the salads and especially if you order hummus which ALWAYS us accompanied by pita bread. PITA is in THEIR name. What a shame it's not included with their food. I won't be ordering again.

Make sure that you watch these guys when you’re paying at the register! The food was mediocre but the service was terrible. Had he not try to pull a fast one on me, I would’ve been fine. Good luck with your business. Not eating here again.

Do not accept a job here. You will not get paid and they will keep the tips. They are scamming the young girls that you see working there. Notice how often they have new girls working there.

I was a regular customer and went in to buy food and was so shocked not to see the owners Jay and Sharon not there anymore. They were the best part of going there, their welcoming and warmth made us feel like their family. Sorry to say but this place isn’t worth it anymore. The new people are cold and food isn’t like before.

This is my first time going to Pita Hut, and they treated me just like family. I ate dates and drank tea with them (a traditional way to break fast during Ramadan). The food was delicious as well. If you’re in the mood for great halal and welcoming service stop on in!Glad they came to Coral Springs.

Love this place! The food is outstanding! It’s everything I been looking for and more. Jay and Sharren, are some of the nicest people I ever came across. Thank you, for making my experience there wonderful both times.

Both of the owners here are nasty and rude. Save your time and money and go someplace else.

We were in the mood for Mediterranean food and found Pita Hut in the area. The food was fresh, delicious, fairly priced, of the highest quality, and some of the best that we’ve ever had. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners who made us feel welcomed and a part of their family. Such a wonderful atmosphere and hospitality symbolic of Mediterranean culture. I cannot wait to go back and will tell everyone that I know about our fantastic experience. I will probably stop by for some homemade baklava and freshly brewed Arabian tea tomorrow.

My fiancé, Andy Walk and I accidentally stumbled into this place and fell in love with Pita Hut!! The staff/owners, Jay (from Morocco) and Sharon (from Trinidad) are absolute pleasures to do business with! So friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful! Now for the best part- the food!!! The food is Scrumdiddlyumptious (or for those of you who don’t know what that means, it means REALLY REALLY GREAT FOOD!! I keep saying how great the staff is but they truly are exceptional! I had never tried grape leaves and they let me try them before I bought them! They’re food is fresh and they’re open kitchen gives you great comfort! Altogether, Pit Hut is FANTASTIC!
