Honest is a great option for vegetarian food around the Sunrise area including chaat items, IndoChinese or a proper meal. Been coming here for close to 3 years now and everytime it's either a hit or a miss, so I would say it is not always consistent. We order the Dabang dosa on every single visit and while the dosa is great 8/10 times, the sambhar with it is only good half the times and is runny/watered down for the other half. The manchurian from the Indochinese selection is good enough. However, Chili Paneer was a must order for us until they decided to change the recipe last year and the paneer is no longer batter coated fried before adding to the dish which kind of misses out on the crunch it should ideally have.I have mixed feelings about the service that you have to order yourself and wait for your food to arrive in takeaway containers and then eating out of paper plates/spoons while dining in. However, on our last visit, they added a 10% table service fee on bill which makes you think what was that for now if you throw your own stuff in the bin after eating and cleaning for yourself.Overall, the food is nice but I guess it's the experience too that adds up to make or break your next visit.

Overpriced tiny portions of terrible food served on paper plates and bowls with disposable plastic cups and forks. It literally is the kind of paper plates and bowls you would buy for a picnic.$13.50 for a picnic sized paper bowl of noodles with some random frozen vegetables in it. This place is like the McDonalds of Indian food. The person working the front counter (owner? manager?) had a couple coughing spells and then never washed his hands.

This review is for Harsh Soni (see? Why are you talking about madras cafe mal and then about Woodlands and then you go to Honest and give it all excellence? How much did Honesh pay you for your stars?

All the food is phenomenal and makes my taste buds dance like a Taíno native. I ordered dhai puri, channa batura, masala dosa, thali, and Pau bhaji, a Limca, Thumbs Up, and a mango Lassi. The service is good; they are very friendly staff workers. My mom ate something too spicy and they helped us make her more comfortable. For atmosphere, I'll take away a star because I'm not a fan of self-serve or paper plates, which is how it is here. That said, the food is SOOOO good I believe it's worth the experience. I am not a fan of any vegetarian meals I've had, but here I literally enjoyed EVERY...SINGLE...THING.

Honest is supposed to be a very good Indian street food chain but this location is subpar. The food is overpriced and the portions are smaller than other locations I have been to. The restaurant is clean and modern but I don't like the fact that we have to use paper plates and plastic utensils at a dine-in restaurant. On top of this, we have to get all of this by ourselves from the front instead of having someone serve us. Honest is supposed to be a dine-in restaurant with service. This is just somewhere in between and it is very awkward. This being said, the food is fresh and I like the fact that everything is vegan/vegetarian.

Every item we tried testes like.. when we buy frozen/ready to eat tetra pack food from grocery store and heat and eat.. Its all same taste. Not price worthy. Quantities are too small no order is enough for 1 person. And the irony is disposable plates and cutlery. Its like someone distributing free food. I felt bad eating gravy curry in absorbable paper cup. ??????
Sweet Lassi was excellent, comparable to what you would get in top dairies in India. Dahi puri was incredibly tasty with very large size portions enough to share between 2 or 3 persons; very filling. Masala Dosa too was tasty and very filling.Punjabi Thali was tasty and excellent. Ghee-Roti in thali was incredibly tasty; dal and chole were also tasty, but sadly, thali didn't have even a single vegetable! Portions in Thali were also small but thali was complete with everything including papadum, gulag jamun, rice, lime pickles, and onion/tomato/cucumber salad.Proprietor of this restaurant franchise is a Gujrati and friendly. Worth visting.Vegetarian options: Vegan options available. Plenty of parking.
