Very disappointed in the service and food safety level. First off, they forgot our rice, drinks, and were very inattentive. They mix raw food with cooked food. This was brought to the chefs attention and did not care. He just asked if he should give the chicken mixed with raw tuna to others at the table. There was a disabled person at the table that could become seriously ill if raw food is ingested. This was made clear to the pony-tailed server before when a California Roll was ordered and no masago was requested. When approached to adjust the bill, this server was apathetic and dismissive that one person was not able to eat their meal due to their negligent cooking process. Any normal food establishment knows not to mix raw with cooked. Of course they would not refund the one person's dish or even offer any adjustment. Not even an apology or attempt to make it right. They did offer to make some chicken in the back that would gave taken 20 minutes more. That's not all. They claim to sit 10 "comfortably" at at table. That is not true. We were 9 and one person had to sit literally on a corner.Lastly, I come to find out that the pony-tailed waiter made inappropriate comments to a woman in our party, insinuating she should be making him dinner and was being what was perceived as flirtatious. This was very distasteful and accurately descriptive of this entire experience.

Went for hibachi with my son, daughter-in-law and 8 month old grandson. Always a good time. Enjoyed the food, friendly people, excellent service. Highly recommend for a casual, fun night out with family!

We came to Izumo at 5:30 pm on a Saturday night and we're immediately greeted and sat at a hibachi table by the host. We ended up having the table to ourselves as another table had just started eating and the next crowd didn't come in until we were leaving. I ordered the steak and scallops hibachi meal at $27.95 with the $1.95 upcharge for fried rice and $3 upcharge for filet. My partner ordered the steak and salmon at $26.95 with the same two upcharge a on top. Each meal came with a soup and salad - which my partner spent the whole time he was eating the soup saying it was the best soup he's had at a hibachi place. Our hibachi chef came out with the cart for our food and was very nice. As he served us our yum yum sauce, I told him I loved yum yum sauce and he gave me the whole bottle xD The hibachi meal came with noodles and rice - the noodles were also stir fried along with vegetables and were both beautifully cooked. The rice was ready last and was packed with flavor and delicious crispy bits of sauce and meats from the cooktop that just added to the flavor. The shrimp appetizer was also beautifully cooked and very flavorful, a perfect pairing with the noodles as they were ready at the same time. He asked how we wanted our steaks cooked, which we both opted for medium rare and asked my partner how he wants his salmon cooked, which he left up to the chef. The chef joked and asked if we liked sashimi- which we love! I truly thought he was overcooking my scallops but no, no more judgement from me ever again because they were better cooked than I could've ever made them. Our steak was also perfectly cooked and melted in our mouths because it was such a great cut of meat, the upgrade to fillet was well worth it! As for the salmon, he ended up cooking it similar to ahi-tuna, seared on the outside and beautifully seasoned with lemon, garlic, and butter and rare on the inside - perfect for these sushi lovers. All in all, a wonderful meal and experience, we had a wonderful time and for a lower price than the big chains down the street. We will be back and often!

I love Izumo! This is a true hole-in-the-wall. The outside really does not do it justice! But let me tell you: the food is AMAZING. They have a wide variety to choose from for your hibachi meal! The best part: they serve hibachi with rice AND noodles. The hibachi soup is to die for! I've been here three times and it is my now go-to hibachi spot! Also, their prices are great for the amount of food you get!

We've been going here for years and even though it's small, the food is beyond high quality. Staff and servers are always so kind and attentive. My picky little one specifically requests to go here for special occasions and they never disappoint. Kudos to the chef for always making my son laugh and feel seen.

We go to Izumo Hibachi every year for Mike's Christmas birthday. The chefs are full of character and plenty of chef magic. They have Sake and plenty of beer and wine available. I recommend Kirin Light. The food is always fresh and delicious. I order the chicken, shrimp and scallops hibachi. The shrimp appetizer is delicious. The lobster is delicious. The steak is delicious. Everything is delicious. I don't think you can go wrong at Izumo Japanese restaurant. The sushi is delicious too! The staff follows all social distancing guidelines.

The restaurant was in a strip mall that has been there for a while and we have never been there. This was our first and will return! Appearances was not the best, but the service and food was fantastic! We have been to a lot of hibachi restaurants and they are now go to restaurant.

I loved this little mom and pop Hibachi place! I originally was in search of Japanese style cuisine. I knew of Benihana which to me is meh. And through research between Yelp and social media I heard a lot of the local community talking about Izumo. And the community rated this place really high for a local mom and pop kind of place. I had more time over winter break here to check this place out. First for you COVID conscious folks- indoor seating only. Yes precautions like staff wearing masks and sanitizer are provided/available. There are maybe 6 Hibachi grills, there's a sushi bar, and then general seating. When I was there, no one was in restaurant eating. I went the day before New Years Eve. I ordered takeout! Yes folks they accommodate takeout! I ordered the combo chicken and steak and requested fried rice in place of plain rice. The meal came with the soup and salad and shrimp appetizer as well. And I guess here the meal comes with hibachi vegetables, and some sort of noodle dish side- never had the noodles before but ok. Food was ready on time and smelled divine! I actually had to make another stop after my pickup, so it did sit in my car a bit before heading home. When I got home I was fully expecting the food to be cold. But everything held decent temperature! I got to enjoy the soup and then salad before diving into the entree and everything was still warm- no microwave necessary yet. Everything was so tasty! I loved the noodles. The veggies were on point and the fried rice was nicely fried. The meat was cooked to perfection. Portions were plentiful! I had some leftovers (yes!). I would choose this place over Benihana ANY DAY! Thank you for being that self owned and operated family place that's better than the corporate chain! You deserve the accolades! I will be back soon! If any of you ever think of going to the competitor, please take your business to this place instead! It's more than worth it!!

We celebrate ALL special occasions @ Izumo & have been doing so since 2003 Last nite ( 11/19/20 ) we attempted To celebrate my sons 49th b'day The place was pretty empty with just another couple or two seated for dinner ( we were a party of four ) Linda the owner was not there nor were the men who generally run the show The service was good however the food was seasoned with an over abundance of soy sauce It tainted all the food cooked on the Hibachi & I was not the only person who tasted this Perhaps the cooking surface was not cleaned properly but it was a real turnoff I have never experienced a bad meal there before but last nite was awful I realize there is a pandemic going globally but it may be time to look elsewhere for our celebrations

This is my go to hibachi take out spot! I've never eaten inside. The combination plates are great. I always get the chicken and scallops and it's pretty big. My boyfriend and I always share it. With the upgrade to fried rice it comes out to $25 for the plate. That's pretty good to feed two and it's very good!!

LITERALLY MY FAVORITE HIBACHI PLACE. Their food is delicious, their chefs are interactive and fun, and noodles are included in the hibachi price.. which makes my heart and stomach so happy! I've never had a bad experience here... and I've been coming for years!
