It's a terrible menu, over priced, no "bar". It's either. $20 dinner or crappy mini bites. This place used to be the neighborhood hangout, great subs, great happy bartenders and just a good time. They got greedy changed the menu people stopped going and all the cool bartenders went to more trendy places. This just died a long death. Glad to see it go!

Ordered and paid online today. When I got to the restaurant it was locked and dark. No sign on the door and the website indicated it was open. They took my money and it still has not been credited back to my card. The text message i received indicated the order was cancelled but they took out the money from my account … of course no one was there to contact. Google is forcing me into one star but they don’t deserve even one. I better get my money back. This is DISGRACEFUL! a voice message should have been left on their phone and a message on the website stating closed and a sign out on the door. Shady.

Very disappointing after two previous trips where I remember it being pretty good. Apparently, the cook called in sick and some items (e.g. pasta) wee not available. Rice balls and salad were ok, but pizza was not very good. Plus, constant flies around our table. One even got into the salad dressing. :( Server was friendly, but not enough to make we want to go back.

I ordered a Pizza for pick up over the phone the other day. The woman on the phone said the only meat available was pepperoni, which should’ve been a red flag. She told me my order would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived in 40 minutes and waited behind two people who were 30 minutes for their order. I was told they were really backed up and had only one person making pizzas. That information would’ve been nice to know over the phone. I eventually got my order 30 minutes later. I finally got to eat my food after a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes. The pizza was good but not worth going through the hassle. I wish I could have have asked for a discount or compensation for the long wait. I won’t be eating from there for a long while.

I used to love ordering take out from here and or eating inside. Unfortunately the last few times I did the food and service wasn't good. I had a simple takeout order and they forgot part of my food. I had to drive back to pick up the missing order, also it just wasn't the same quality I've had in the past.

Restaurant has great food and pizza but do NOT order pizza take out or delivery. I got a tomato basil pizza and there were two slices with no toppings! Love the restaurant just don't get to go.

Extremely disappointed with the pizza. Ordered two large pies to go and both had the bare minimum cheese and sauce. No where near as good as actual new haven style pizza. The flavors are decent but the pizza was very bare. It also cost $51 after tips for 2 large pizzas one cheese and one with 2 toppings.
what is notoriously love. Third time here and we love it better with each trip. Great food and service.

We have been going to Nicks for a few years now, and last night was super disappointing. We waited an hour for our food, our appetizer came at the same time as our pizza and salad. People learn what an appetizer is, it comes before your food. There was a staff shortage the bar tender had to step in and help, 2 kids waiting on tables it takes 2 of them to wait on the table, no real staff, manager no where on site. the oven was not fired up, the pizza was cold and the metal tray they brought it out on was warmer then the pizza. Waitress took the pizza and instead of putting it back in the oven she tossed it. they don't even serve steak. child got a salad and all 3 of us had to split it, because we were starving at that point, and have been waiting entirely too long. We had to stop at McDonalds on the way home. Please get your act together !!!!

Love this place been coming here for years since they opened. Great atmosphere friendly little neighborhood gem. Definitely try the bruschetta you won’t be disappointed. Sean, Erin & the rest of the staff are the best.

Seriously! What the heck has happened to this place. I sat at the bar tonight and counted over 10 people who left because they never got served. How crazy is that? I'm so sick of hearing you're understaffed. It's been months of terrible, terrible service. There's like 6 people sitting at the bar and I have to wait 15 minutes to even be acknowledged and longer to get a drink. I am completely done with this place, there is no excuse at this point. Every time you look inside there are 6 people congregating at the top of the ramp by the soda fridge yet the handful of people in the restaurant can't get service. There's no manager, no caring, no nothing. I'm super local and want this place to succeed but who am I kidding, they don't care at all! Why should I? If you've been to any other local bar, there's 20+ people sitting around the bar all getting great service. This place can't hang with a 80% of the seats empty. You've turned a solid place into a laughing stock. I'll be back... Once the next restaurant takes over this location.
