Great place and atmosphere, only to be spoiled by bait and switch tactics. The place was under staffed, oysters were Quarter size, (not like the photos) the shucker was opening good size oysters, then was told by the manager to go and wash dishes!!! Then the manager opened a box of tiny oysters to give to customers and charge the same price!!! Each oyster was the size of quarter, when we complained, the manager attacked my wife and threatened her with the oyster knife and subsequently we both got kicked out! We didn't mind. The place was not clean!! If I could give zero stars I would. Stay away it's Dangerous.Not a good experience!!!

Ahhhhhmazing!! I haven't been here in year, and I am so glad that has changed! I got the blackened grouper sandwich (which was insanely large and perfectly done) homemade cheese grifts and coleslaw. My fiancé got the smoked mullet, friend mushrooms with ho sauce and the best sweet tea he says he has had in a long while.It’s definitely a little rough and tumble looking from the exterior but don’t let that deter you! You will be glad you ate here! 10/10 would recommend. We cant wait to come back.

We had a great time and meal. The kids loved coloring on dollar bills to tape to the walls! Food was delicious and fresh, the steamed oysters were on point and the whole staff was awesome. We will come back when we are back in town visiting family. We are from Indianapolis and were visiting family in Tallahassee, glad we made the drive out to Newport for some oysters.Kid-friendliness: For a bar, they were very accommodating.

The staff here is incredibly rude and acts like they don't want to do their job. Been here several times when everyone was having fun and enjoying it and the staff other than Ms Dorothy were trying their best to bring everyone's mood down. I know some of them are her family but they're the only bad thing here that needs to go.

We ordered half dozen oysters $10.00 Raw and the peel and eat shrimp.$11.50 an unsweetened tea and 1 draft beer and our total came to $38.00 didn't think of it until just now leaving but boy that beer must have been very expensive. I like ma and pop family owned places so atleast it didn't go to a chain. Did leave a $5 tip so a total of $43 the 2 working there were very nice and the food was good.
