We wanted to treat my mother-in-law to dinner here for her birthday, so my husband made reservations. I had been many years ago and always had a pleasant experience, but my husband has never been and was looking forward to dining here given the reputation. It's a beautiful restaurant and most seats have a great view. The hostess was friendly and politie and greeted us as we entered, and we were seated within a few minutes after arriving. The location of the table wasn't ideal - I'm pretty sure, after a quick glance around the room, we were seated in the worst table in the building. It was a round table, right in front of the salad bar and bathrooms. It was a busy corner of the restaurant and again, was overlooking the bathroom and salad bar.Our server was friendly but not super attentive. I ordered the black linguini di mare and it was completely undercooked. Every single bite I took was crunchy. I hate complaining at restaurants, but it was inedible so I shared this with the server. I showed him how I could take one piece of pasta and it would be cooked on one side and I could literally break it in half on the other. He assured me "it is supposed to be black, it's the squid ink", which I obviously knew because I read the menu but also showed me he wasn't listening to my concern if he thought that's what I was complaining about. I politely repeated myself, and he went back to the kitchen and the chef assured him it was supposed to be that way because they put a garnish of fried pasta on top. I again showed him that the pasta was not cooked all the way but he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I tried to eat around it but literally the majority of the pasta was not cooked. He came back to check in and saw that I hadn't eaten anything and asked if I wanted a box. I politely told him no because this isn't cooked all the way, and he grabbed the plate to take it away. There were no apologies and no offer to order something else or have a manager come to the table. We were still charged for the dish. I didn't want to make an even bigger deal of it (I had already brought it to his attention several times) so we just dealt with it and paid the bill. I was not expecting a free meal - I just wanted my meal cooked appropriately or my concerns heard and validated. We also ordered the lava cake which was disappointing as well, especially having to wait 30 minutes for it. We knew we had to wait so we expected something phenomenal (it used to be, years ago. Perhaps the recipe changed?) The cocktails were okay. I enjoyed my espresso martini, but my husband did not care for his drink (pomegranate mojito) . I also enjoyed the salad bar - lots of great options! I just wish our table wasn't directly in front of it.This is considered an upscale restaurant in the area, yet the service and quality were lacking. Given our experience, and what I've read from some recent reviews, next time we're in town looking for a nice meal, we will likely go elsewhere.

6:45 reservation. Didn’t get our meal till 9:45. Couldn’t even enjoy it at that point. The management had no idea what was going on. Total disaster of an operation.

First, we sat outside on the back deck for 15 minutes before we were asked, by the server, if we even wanted something to drink. Then, we ordered our drinks and were not given dinner menus until I asked for them.We got cold outside and asked if we could move inside to one of the tables. When we went inside, we were told that we could not sit at any on the empty tables, other then the high tops, which I can not sit in. We were stuck sitting at the tiny cocktail tables. There were three of us in our party so this was not an ideal set up.We ordered our food and when it came it was iced cold and so salty that we could barely eat it. I was hungry at this point so we ate but I will NEVER go back there. The meat and the potatoes were unbelievably salty. The stuffed shrimp were mushy and also too salty. The Server didn't check on us for very long periods of time.It was the worst meal we have ever had in Daytona. The bill was $175 and it was awful. Don't eat there! If I could select zero stars, I would but one was the lowest.

We were the 2nd table seated when the doors opened for Easter. We had to wait way too long for our food. We had Maui and grouper with couscous. It should not have taken so long. Prices were high. Our server was very nice, but the kitchen ruined our experience.

Extremely disappointed in my meal here. Spent over $330 for a family of 4. Server was friendly, but not available and we had to go to the front to get assistance several times. The Sea Bass was forgettable in an over salty broth that had mushy vegetables. Prosciutto wrapped miso maple Salmon was way too sweet. Bathrooms had a sewage smell to them. Stunned by the whole experience.

Can't believe I've lived in area for 5 years and hadn't been here. Gorgeous place, fantastic service. I had the grouper with some kind of jalapeno pineapple sauce..was amazing... Love this place, can't wait to back..the cocktails are delish... Try the cucumber margarita..

I had a group of overseas friends coming to dinner and wanted to show them an nice ocean view and good meal. I called the day before and made a res for 6. I never received a text confirmation, so the day of the res I called back, no res found. They finally got this straight and we arrived on time and we're seated promptly. The waitress came quickly and took drink orders, but the drinks took 15-20 minutes to show. The meals we ordered were very late ( more than an hour after ordering) and all were OK, except my Grouper. It was underdone, and when I returned home I became quite sick. I tried to call a manager the next day, but after four attempts which included 20 minutes on hold and getting hung up on twice, I decided to just write a review. Since we live in the area, I keep hoping this restaurant will improve, but not as of yet.

We went with friends to have dinner here on Friday evening, we were excited to try this place and have a nice night out! After spending over $200 dollars just between my husband and myself…. We were extremely disappointed! The service was ridiculously horrible! I completely understand having an off day as a server, as I have previously worked in the restaurant industry myself. But this was over the top, horrible! The server botched everyone’s order at our table! Things kept coming out to our table that none of us even ordered, then the server argued with us that we did order these items! I am always aware of what I order when out at a restaurant! How completely absurd & ridiculously unprofessional to argue with customers and say otherwise! Then when we got our food after over an hour wait….again it was wrong! I was seriously very shocked with our experience, considering the prices on the menu I had expected a totally different atmosphere and experience from what we actually had! My husband and my coworker both ended up getting pretty sick that evening after we went home. When people choose to go to a prestigious restaurant and spend a good amount of money, then receive less than average service & food it definitely ruins the experience of the evening! Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed and will not be returning anytime soon! There are certainly better dining options in Daytona Beach to choose from than to waste your money on terrible service & food here!

Four of us (2 couples) had dinner at Daytona Beach Chart House last night, 3 of us celebrating our same-day birthdays. The restaurant had typed a Happy Birthday message and our names directly on four of their menus for us to take home! Our waitress was charming and attentive. We were given a surprise fabulous dessert, but best of all was my meal - that I haven't yet stopped thinking and talking about. Possibly the best meal I've ever had! Wish I could remember the exact name - mahi with an Oriental flavor, green beans and sticky rice. Such a terrific combination of flavors and toppings. Just a wonderful celebration for the 4 of us. Thank you so much, Chart House.

This was the perfect spot to celebrate my dad's 95th birthday. We had an excellent hostess and a table overlooking the marina. Even our menus had 'Happy 95th Birthday' printed at the top. The food and drinks were delicious and the meals cooked exactly to order. They also catered to my vegan meal which was presented as beautifully and skillfully as the other seven dishes. We were allowed to bring in our own birthday cake. Unfortunately, service seemed a little slow and our decaf coffees were delayed until after we had eaten the desert.I would have given a complete five-star review however our server did not seem up to par considering the quality of the restaurant. I think if he had a little more training or experience, it would have been the absolute perfect evening. We would definitely eat there again!Vegetarian options: Excellent choices, even a separate menu.
