First time visitor. Stopped in based on a recommendation from a local friend. And I'm a big fan of Jamaican cuisine. My friend admitted he had not eaten there in 2 years. Arrived about 1:30 pm today. Business hours says they open at 11am. Ordered Jerk chicken, rice and beans, and cabbage. Asked for oxtail gravy on rice. Also asked for Jerk sauce. What?! NO jerk sauce? But they did have Grace Jamaican hot sauce so, ok. Maybe I stopped in after their lunch rush since they opened at 11. Despite having no jerk sauce, the jerk chicken tasted spicy and seasoned. Very good flavor. First impressions are everything. NO Reggae music is playing....No music playing at all? Silent? Bruddha, hol on, hol on ,Mon. So of course I respectfully ask the brother who served me. " No Bob Marley"? " Steel Pulse"? In closing. to their credit, there is a sign hanging above the front door that reads "Under New Management". I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. This might've been their first day open or first week. And by the way, Bruddha turned on some reggae music as I enjoyed my meal. Respect.

Lets start with I'm 114lbs don't eat that much however, $18 for 4 oxtails, a lil cornbread & rice (no beans) and most hurtful the dang 4 oxtails was TOUGH Af. Fyi: the ole man man aint friendly at all, no customer service etiquette. 1st & last time there. I try to help us but, it never fails.............

Absolutely phenomenal! I had the curry chicken and cabbage an rice & peas. Husband had greens & & rice & peas & plantains & veggie patty. Every thing was seasoned perfectly, restaurant was clean including bathroom. Lil warm inside but we ate in anyways. Young men working were doing everything & handling it well as it got busy at times! We will be back i need to try it all!Vegetarian options: Able to accommodate hubs vegan diet!Parking: Lots of spaces, was Sunday. It is worth the short walk if you do park further down.
The curry chicken was amazing here. The perfect amount of spice! Will be back to try other menu items!

Visiting Daytona and looking to “eat like the locals”? Cool Runnings is the spot for you!The portions are huge, the staff is friendly, and the flavors are amazing. The chicken curry (similar, but different to Indian food if you’ve had that before) is top notch and I’m still thinking about their ox tail gravy! I wish we could have tried it all!

Food was very flavorful and delicious. I ordered the LG Ox Tail which came with rice and 2 sides. Nice portion, authentic flavors and the plantains and cabbage were all good. My husband order the J*** chicken plate which was spicy (but not too much) and the rice/beans were fresh and also tasty. If you're in the area definitely try this place out. Will definitely recommend!! The food is bomb!!! Service was quick and easy. Nice atmosphere with seating that's available if you want to dine in.
