One of the nicer beaches in South Florida. If you are in Pompano, it's definitely worth the 15 minute drive north to get to a much nicer beach.

Beach was relatively clean. It's disappointing they don't "allow" visible alcohol but that can be worked around. Did have a decent amount of seaweed washing up during our stay especially towards the end. Plenty of room and activities to spread out.

Definitely my happy place. never disappoints. Love the options of food and shopping. As well as hotels.

Do not bring your dog to even the board walk. I was walking in town and the nearest trash can I found was near the entrance to the pier. I got stopped and threatened with a citation just for being there (I was there maybe 30 seconds).

200 NE 21st Ave. Deerfield Beach, FL 3344 April 29, 2023 Saturday 4 pm Beautiful quiet beach with showers, to brush off the sand and parking meters to help pay to keep this beach beautiful. Lots of condos behind the beach so if you need a place to stay I'm sure you will find one. About Deerfield Beach. Deerfield Beach is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States, just south of the Palm Beach County line. The city is named for the numerous deer that once roamed the area. Come check out this lovely beach .

This beach is more family-friendly compared to surrounding beaches. I love how this beach is quieter and more relaxed. Whenever we find ourselves in the area, our friends always make it a mission to take us here and we love it! Sure, it may get a little crowded, especially in the summer but that's to be expected. But it's definitely less crowded compared to others. If you get lucky, you get free parking. And even then, if you're not able to find free parking, it's not expensive at all. The quietness, peacefulness, and cleanliness are what we like most about this beach. Such beautiful views from the pier and a lot of places to walk to. Highly recommend this beach for families with littles!

I'll go right out and say it: I live in Florida and I hate the beach. It's always crowded, it's blazing hot, the traffic to get there is insane, people never know how to park around it, the amount of things you have to carry to be there comfortably... do I go on? So pray tell, why did I willingly subject myself to go to the beach then? It was Opposite Day clearly as something possessed me to go. It may also help that we were nearby and this wasn't the cesspool insanity that is typical of South Beach. I shudder just thinking about it. Eek. Anyhow, we only strolled around half an hour or so and we managed to find shade in one of their tiki hut pavilions, so we mainly chatted and saw the waves pass on by, as well as experiencing a slight breeze. It wasn't awful to say the least and I enjoyed myself. Now I probably won't go to the beach for another year and that's assuming I'm dragged. Simply not my thing. /shrug

Deerfield beach is arguably one of the best beaches in South Florida. There is a fishing pier, volleyball nets, a few covered picnic tables and chair/cabana rentals, plus a great walking path with benches that stretches the whole length of the beach. If the sand is too messy for you there's even a grassy area that many people bring a blanket or chairs to sit upon. There's a great café for breakfast or lunch not to mention fabulous restaurants like J B's on the Beach or Oceans 234 that are right on the beach. In addition, there is a hotel and many other restaurants and shops to visit. If you can't find parking right on the beach, there's a large parking garage not too far down the road. The main beach gets pretty crowded because of all the activity around it but if you go further south, that stretch of the beach is more quiet and has a nice little boardwalk across the street from the Embassy suites hotel. All in all tons of stuff to do and the beach is beautiful and always kept very clean.

Great beach! We stayed at the Wyndham, which is right across the street from the beach and really enjoyed our time here. It was very clean, beautiful pier (except there is an additional charge to walk down the entire pier, which we didn't expect). Parking isn't too bad- it fills up a bit quickly, but we were still able to find parking on the street even when we went during spring break. There are ample picnic tables along the beach sidewalk with covered roofs where you can sit and relax in the shade. By the pier there's a good number of places to eat just 5-10 minute walking distance. Also you get a beautiful sunrise there!

Deerfield beach provides the tourist a more relaxed place to hang by the beach...the restaurants and shops have a more Mom and Pop feel and they tend to be cozier than the busy ones a few miles south. I love driving around and stopping to get this small village feel from time to time.....less people, less crowded, equally charming. The city's award-winning "Blue Wave" beach earned that designation from the Clean Beach Council, based on Deerfield Beach's excellent water quality, beach conditions, safety services, public information and habitat conservation policies. Deerfield Beach is home to Quiet Waters Park, a bit inland from the beach scene, which features campgrounds, fishing, a skate park and the longest "cable ski" courses in the nation. A hybrid of surfing, skiing and wakeboarding, cable skiing is rapidly growing in popularity, and you can try it at the park's 2,700-foot oval course.

Deerfield Beach offers them best of south Florida on a small scale. The boardwalk and pier are great for just having a low key stroll or for taking pictures. There are some great restaurants all within walking distance. Parking isn't expensive (under $5/hr on weekends), and local residents can purchase a yearly parking pass for under $80. What I love about this spot is that it is very calm and family friendly. Everything is clean and safe.

Great town. If you're looking for information on local restaurants and other businesses be sure to join the Facebook group, "Deerfield Beach Happenings". For local restaurant owner and chef interviews, go to the YouTube Channel, "Who's in the Kitchen?!".

Love it! I went to a hosted Full Moon event, so nice and I took amazing pictures & videos. I definitely plan to go back to Deerfield Beach! Beautiful

My favourite local beach with a fishing pier. Something I recently learned which was quite interesting... the pier is an International fishing pier. Who would've known that the cozy town of Deerfield Beach would have a world famous pier! North of the pier lots of locals & college students. South of the pier family's & tourists.
