I was craving Chicharrón ( fried pork belly) coming home from work. I googled places near me, and the time the establishment was closing for the night. I arrived at 7:20 PM. The first thing out of this lady mouth behind the counter as I approached was ( “we’re closing soon.” I thought that was very rude to say considering they were closing at 8 PM. I had plenty of time to order take out. I also felt the vibe that they were prejudice against Americans. Weird eyes at me. But I still decided to order Because I read good reviews before I got there . I’m sorry to say the food was not good. Fried pork I ordered was so dry and salty and so difficult to bite into. I’m sorry that I ordered two of them. I still have leftover in my fridge and I cannot get myself to eat it. I guess it will be thrown out. What a waste of money. It’s that bad. Everything else was mediocre. Just a weird experience. I thought the lady behind the counter that helped me I did not connect with. Maybe she just doesn’t like Americans . Not sure. I had to ask for side sauces. She never offered them. She seemed so annoyed with me. I know I can be direct. I own that. But I felt no welcoming the minute I walked into this establishment . The customer helping us to communicate was a lot nicer than her. I still gave her a tip. It’s who I am. I’ll never go back. .

DO NOT GO!! I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO EL BALCÓN!!! GO TO THIS PLACE!!! This place is awesome!!!!!! The food is so much better than el balcón. You will not regret it. The quality and taste of the food here beats so many colombian restaurants in south Florida. This is as close to authentic as being in Colombia. ??
