We were given three types of menus, it had a plethora of choices and one by one my eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas. I couldn’t believe that they had vegan sushi! My heart went immediately for a roti pizza called Mystic Pizza. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a vegan place in SoFlo. My wife ordered the jack fruit and the flavors were brilliantly done. I could taste not only the love but the soul of the seasonings. We were extremely delighted with every we tried. Then a gentleman that works there, handed us an all natural fruit smoothie sample and I was impressed. Honestly the food is impressive and so are the people that provide the service. “A a big shout out to Gem Eatery in Margate. This small family-owned eatery is only open for breakfast and lunch. The service is a tad slow but that is because everything is made from scratch and the servings are huge. I did not mind the wait especially since the reward was worth every bite. The service is amazing. You must try the gigantic cinnamon bun large enough for 3 people. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but the coffee is smooth and not acidic at all, I enjoyed 2 cups, hubby had 4. The homemade English muffins were extra-large, fresh, and tasty. This is a must for all of us and would be quite a gesture as we support our neighborhood eateries. Laurie does all of the baking at the facility and her husband Tony is the man behind the delicious meals. We plan to return and plan to try the smothered home fries. I give Gem Eatery 5 Stars and am proud the say that its right here in our neck of the woods.“

You can either order from the counter when you walk in, or order from your table and pay after at the counter. I had a chai latte that was creamy and dreamy. My friend had an expresso with frothed milk that she enjoyed. We both had omelettes. You have a choice of home fries or fruit, and a toast option. The omelettes were plentiful, for a matter of fact my friend couldn't finish hers. I finished mine because I'm a foodie and a yelpie of course! As you see in my photo, we went with the fruit. The fruit was fresh and abundant. This place isn't close to my home, however I will most certainly come back to relax here and enjoy something delicious! They have a massive board with all of what they offer over the counter. They have hot and cold coffees, tea and smoothies. They have pastries and hot food, so pretty much everyone can find something that they will enjoy! The restaurant has been open for 10 years. Boy have I been missing out! Each cookie had great texture, chewiness and deep flavour. Our favourite was the Carrot. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch is popular so we tried it. Much much better than what I was expecting. Our least favourite was chocolate peanut butter and even that was really good! The cookies are 5$ each. They’re big, dense and filling. Worth it for me.“

“Had a custom cake made for our anniversary and it was replicated beautifully! Down to the exact shade of pink they used. Looked exactly like the photo I sent. The only thing was the cake was dry, so we took a few bites and had to toss it. We were disappointed, but we still appreciate the hard work they put into creating a visually beautiful cake. 10/10 as far as replicating the cake. The raspberry filling was different from the original, but we were told it would be in advance so that wasn’t and issue whatsoever. We were not a fan of it though. I will try them again this year! Both of the women were very nice when I picked up the cake and the location is super cute and clean. The huge cake in the photos I shared is the original cake at my wedding and the one tier is what they replicated. We absolutely loved how it looked.
