“—exactly what the body needed for nourishment. If you come to Deland, it is paramount that visit and patronize a well put together establishment, This was a welcome home for me personally. Great food—like grandma’s cooking. R/s Transport Team Seven Owner/Operator C. Turner“
“if youre hungry, want to feel like family, and get great service, come here. my girls and i stopped here after a day at the springs and it was an hour before closing(sundays they close at 6 so try to get there earlier as the menu gets slimmer as the day goes on and the food is sold out. but that was ok bc i ended up with the most fire fried chicken i think i have ever had. and it came with two big sides, and a drink for $11. i ordered two extra sides bc they were only like 1.50 and they looked so good. an they were. I had the cabbage, green beans, mac and cheese, and white northern beans. everything was delicious and the staff was prompt, super courteous, and checked on us to make sure everything was satisfactory. i wish i wouldve gotten her name bc she had a one year old at home as well so she got us everything we needed . To the staff - Thanks for an amazing meal and keep up the good workTo whoevers reading this - Dont give corporations your money for garbage “food” when you could be spending less and eating way better at places like this locally owned small business.Vegetarian options: i mean theres vegetables but green beans usually have some ham for flavoring. then theres the typical southern soul food vegetables, collard greens, cabbage, cole slaw, maybe peas and carrots, corn bread.“
“This was one of the first restaurants I tried in downtown DeLand on the Friday night "Farmers Market" and it was amazing. I got the Raver neighbor (pictured), and on another occasion the Plain Jane Neighbor. They both were excellent! I loved the flavors of both. It loses a star for service only because of that wait time, otherwise staff was very nice and accommodating. The homemade ranch is the bomb. As far as seating goes there's only 4 tables and chairs so when it's busy it's pretty hard to find a place to sit, but other than that I highly recommend.Parking: You will have to use the public parking in downtown DeLand. It's free. This business does not have a specific lot for it's business.“
