I understand this is a British pub, but this place (specifically, the female bartender) was extremely rude and disrespectful to a group military service members in town celebrating a retiring Sailor! The female bartender was extremely rude to our the entire party, and appeared to have been under the Influence of drugs, or having some sort of nervous breakdown. The experience was beyond embarrassing and disrespectful to war fighting heroes. Don’t spend your hard earn American dollars here especially, if you’re military.

Beware of psycho bartender lady. Goes off about her parents owning the bar , whilst disrespecting Military servicemen and women. Yea , we pulled up with 20-30 people, but I’d think that would be a cause for celebration - not threats of being thrown out. Deck84 saved our day.

We would have loved to spend some time at the Blue Anchor. The problem is, as soon as we entered, the “daughter” of the owners said we weren’t welcome because we didn’t call ahead. We were a group of 30, and didn’t all show up at once. The first of us told her that we were all coming. She literally rolled her eyes and said we had to call ahead. We did not ask to all be served at the same time, nor did we demand any extra attention from her. But, she was very unprofessional, and she acted like having customers was an inconvenience. We even told her we could wait our turns to be served, as we were there to celebrate a United States Navy Master Chief’s retirement. She could not have cared less. We took our business down the street by a few properties, and they accommodated us, without issue.

I came to the Blue Anchor a year ago and had a great time. The beer was cold, the fish and chips were well made and the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. This year was a different story. The beer was flat and tasted off, and the fish was largely tasteless. I wanted to like the pub, and wanted to bring others, who are new residents to the area, to the pub with me, but the quality of the food and beverage left too much on the table. The staff was really lovely, but I would have to think twice before going again.

I had high hopes for this place as I love British pubs. This is not a British Pub. All the workers are American. I went in for a drink with some friends and the bartender was extremely weird to us. He said my credit card declined as a joke. None of us found it funny. I still left a tip after this and the bartender then complained about the tip in front of us. I regret leaving any tip now. Bartender ruined our experience and the drinks were pretty bad.

What a shame. This is an authentic historic building, originally built in Dickens' London. It was exported and reassembled in Delray. That makes it the oldest building in town. And it is haunted. Jack the Ripper was a probable patron as two of his victims were regulars here. It's definitely worth a visit, but unfortunately, the food is only passable. So it's better to drink your calories.

The owner is rude and should leave the bartenders that know how to be kind and enjoy their work to do the bartending. Hard to believe she is in the hospitality business especially an Irish bar . St Patty should pay her a visit!

This place is pretty cool. If you want a British Pub with a authentic feel, this is your spot. Stop in for a few drinks before you hit the beach, or hang out and watch some soccer (sorry, football) on the tele. The staff is friendly, and all your favorite English beers are available.

Me and my guests (except 1) ordered the fish and chips. I've had them before and they are very good!Peggy, our server, had her hands full but still was prompt, polite, and upbeat!

We came in as a group and one our friends didn't pay tip. The bartender was super rude and didn't want to serve us because one person didn't want to pay a tip! He keeps bringing it up. Very rude and unprofessional!

Authentic cozy pub atmosphere and good service. We ordered cottage pie and shepherd’s pie but had to return them because they were so salty. We then ordered fish and chips. The batter was good but the fish was completely tasteless and the fries were way too salty. I wanted to order apple crisp which was on the online menu but it was not available. The only desserts were key lime pie and chocolate mousse cake, which aren’t English pub fare so I passed on those.

$5 craft beer. The English meat pie was delicious. Try the Irish Boxtys. I'm waiting to go back. Try your hand at
