CLOSED Went to make reservations because a friend raved about Che to find out they are permanently closed.

A friend raved about this Argentina steakhouse right on the Intracoastal. So I called to make reservations to find out that they are permanently closed.

I really wanted to like Che especially since its east of the Intracoastal and not far from my house. Also, the location affords a good view of the water. Prices are not bad and the restaurant is nice - not real nice but nice enough. Parking is easy too. Service is okay, certainly not the best I've experienced but not bad. So many positives .... but what drives Che down is its bad food. It's almost like management knows the locational factor will be enough to fill tables with tourists and those who live way out west - making the less than mediocre food an afterthought. I've been to Che three or four times and its the same bad food. On my recent visit gnocchi was lousy - I mean it really takes effort to screw up gnocchi but it was drowning in an awful creamy sauce. Burgers were dry and devoid of flavor. Even the empanadas were below average. Every time I've been to Che I've left disappointed and looking at the current reviews I see most people feel the same.

From the moment we walked up to the door to the time we left, every single employee let us know that they were closing in a half an hour. I'm not exaggerating, at least 5 different employees. We just came in for a drink. Drink was decent, but the bartender was not happy to make it. Still tipped well and were out before closing. Won't be back.

It is sad to say, but my first time dining in this establishment will be my last, but not because something went wrong. It is because the owners have had to close the restaurant due to a family health issue. It is sad to hear that someone is ill, and I hope that they recover as quickly as possible. So sorry to not be able to enjoy the food and location again. But, the priorities of the owners are clearly in the right place. Godspeed and I hope everyone gets well soon.

The octopus, flatbread and parillada were amazing. We had to wait for quite a long time (more than an hour after we ordered...) to be served. Not sure what happened but it was annoying.

Empanadas were just amazing!! The fish was good, most likely froze at one time. Service was ok. View of water was amazing and lots of fans/circulation so it was not uncomfortable to sit outside in June.

PAELLA WAS AUTHENTIC AND DELISHOUS. We live in the neighborhood and can walk to the restaurant. I can't believe we have not been here before. I went to the previous resident here and liked it, I guess that the Pampas style made me less than enthusiast about the menu. That was a mistake it's a good restaurent.

Not bad but could be better. Beer (bottled) was on the warm side. Beef sliders were good. Calimari was greasy. Fried eggplant was way too sweet...tasted somewhat like molasses to me. There were five of us and we wanted two checks, one for two people and one for the other three. The server seemed to be confused by that and couldn't seem to grasp the concept. She put it all on one check.

Food is great - outside views are awesome! Our server Mike was fantastic! Also, Scott had excellent customer service! Will definitely be back!

Poor inattentive service Waited over an hour for our Meat plate Had to get up to ask where it was twice No drinks were offered until I asked them to take off our 2 glasses of wine. I ordered one more waiting and they charged for it. The meat was huge sizzling hot and delicious once it arrived at 9:45 for an 8 Rez seated around 8:20. But too much to eat so late. We also ordered drinks while waiting. Bill was too high for the service we got. View on the intercostal was nice but not nice enough for us to return the next time we vacation in Delray.

Do not even think about going here. A waiter actually pushed me and said nothing. Our waiter ignored me twice while taking orders from my 3 other diners. Good just barley ok, the manager did not care. No tlip left.

We were a party of 6 and our waiter was excellent and attentive. The food however especially for the prices they charge was so so. Way overpriced for the area and at the level of quality they are at. Paella was over cooked and a liquid mushy mess. $13 for a drink, you would think it would be made properly. Not impressed at all.

This place was pitiful... Seating offered outside at a dirty table, alternative inside had folding chairs.. should have walked. Slow service, food delivered inconsistent with the menu. Eggs Benedict served with solid yokes... Go anywhere else.

Service was good while dining outdoors on the water. The food was a different story. It was overpriced and did not taste well except for the clams & mussels which were very tasty. The calamari was OK and the chef taco and empanadas were nothing to write home about. The only reason I would not put this in the avoid category is that the atmosphere of dining on the water is good and so is the service.
