This is a great experience. It's hard to find glam in South Florida and in particular Delray Beach but from the moment you walk in it feels like you have entered a fine restaurant in another country. At 9pm on a Saturday the place was packed both inside seating and outside seating. Most everyone was well-dressed which yoi don't see much outside or Miami. Food came out quickly and was beautifully plated and tasty. I wouldn't say the food was amazing and but it's expertly prepared. Excellent cocktails too. My date gave her Golden Sunrise a 10/10. Service was efficient but not extra friendly. Atmosphere > Food > Service. Overall 9/10. Highly recommended.

Had a couple of drinks and the chilled shrimp rolls with the peanut sauce and tamarind sauce on the side. I'm not fond of peanut sauce, but I will say, thoers was very good. I didn't use it as a dip, though. The tamarind sauce is very good. I dipped with that. Flavorful, sweet, and tangy. The rolls were too mint-ish" for me. Would of like a little more shrimp but nonetheless very tasty. The bar is on the dark side as far as the lighting. My friend had to use a flash light to see the menu.

The decor in this restraunt is absolutely stunning. It almost has this Cuban or old Florida Miami vibe. The service was on top of their game but not pushy. All the dishes we tried tasted so good and were unique Asian comfort foods. Come to eat. Also, the cocktail bar is somewhere to sit with an old friend and enjoy eachother's company. They play familiar old fashioned music, which just adds to the charm of this dimly lit tropical lounge. I would definitely recommend Le Colonial.

Great restaurant with wonderful ambiance and service. Came in with my wife to celebrate our anniversary Ralph our server was phenomenal! He was so professional and well knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered based on his recommendations and did not disappoint at all. Keep up the great work Ralph! We will definitely visit again.

I’ve always been a fan of the chain since dining at the Chicago location about 20 years ago. This location is larger and the interior is beautiful and elegant with all of the fine touches.I was surprised to find the lunch pre fixe menu priced at $25 for full portions and it includes iced tea.Our server Isabella was great and attentive and the support staff was on point. The salmon was a bit over cooked but tasty. It was beautifully presented over a lobster bisque with sautéed book choy. We had to request salt which definitely helped open up the flavors of the dish. I would give it a 7/10, possibly higher if it was cooked medium as requested and not well done. The yellow chicken curry was decent. The eggplant could have been cooked a little more. The dish could have been seasoned a bit more as well, had to add moresalt. We liked the addition of the cashew garnish and would rate it 6/10. The rice was perfectly cooked and fragrant.Great meal for the price but will order off the regular menu next time.

Excellent Service - Great Atmosphere - Delicious FoodWe had drinks and food in the bar because we did not have a reservation and there were no tables available in the dining room. We were able to get a small table in the bar area. The waitress was excellent. She was quick with the service, very personable and friendly. The cocktails were very nice. We ordered a few starters and meals from the bar menu and they were all excellent. There are a number of gluten free options on the menu. While not typically a fan of live music, they had a piano player in the corner that was also excellent. He provided a great, old-world feel. We will return.

We ate there last night and everything took a really long time. Drinks took too long, our server was gone too long, the food came out very slowly. It was a three hour meal. While the quality was good, they were clearly short staffed. I wouldn’t go back until I was sure they got this under control.

This was our third visit to Le Colonial and it won't be our last. As always, delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. That being said, the one negative aspect of our visit this time was that we wanted to have dessert and coffee, and another cocktail ? at the bar rather than at our table. We settled the bill and our server assured us that it would be perfectly fine to move to the bar area. When we sat down at the bar to order, the bartender said that the bar was closed as they had already had last call. We were extremely disappointed. In the end the bartender did end up accommodating us but, at the same time was cleaning up and getting ready to close so the entire experience was not what we wanted. It is also important to note that it wasn't even 10pm, and people were still dining in the restaurant. I guess better communication from the server was needed... But really, I always find it a pet peeve when restaurant employees begin the cleaning process when customers are still there, especially in a high end restaurant such as this. Overall I enjoyed my meal but this wasn't the level of service that I had experienced in prior visits. As I said, I will definitely be back and I hope that this was a one time thing.

Waitress was very friendly, but suggested way too much food for our table to share. Also, we told her of food allergy to peppers, and one of the dishes came out full of red peppers - we told the person who served it and he kindly took it back and brought a new dish. But, the waitress never acknowledged the mistake or apologized - kind of odd. Starters were great, but main courses were over salty - not as good as last time we dined there.

The hostess was rude. Was first lead to a table in the back in the corner. I didn't like tbat table and requested a table that was free. The junior hostess checked and came back with the rehearsed answer that table has been requested. All of a sudden when I called BS on that answer the empty table became magically available but we could not be seated at the empty table for 15 minutes. More BS. We were 2 woman and were treated disrespectfully.

First time dining at the Delray location—the decor is outstanding and a cool vibe so that's an experience of its own. Their menus differ from each location as they source food locally so don't expect to have the same options as Chicago, etc. Our mains were prepared perfectly: Yellow chicken curry (about a 6 on spicy level) and very tasty! The Spicy shrimp stir fry was really good too but we were told it was spicier but we thought the curry had more heat. The Brussels Sprouts side wasn't cooked enough so we had to use a fork&knife to cut through the firm brussels but the flavor of the dish was good otherwise. We enjoyed our martinis and overall had a great experience! Don't expect to take home leftovers, we finished everything!

Four of us had dinner for the first time there. We had a nice table that was in a quiet area as requested. The room had a grand feeling of french colonialism:) and the service was outstanding. Lovely ambiance. The rice pocket appetizers were delicious. We enjoyed the crunchy noodle dish and the brussel sprouts were extraordinary. We ordered the special whole red snapper which was not priced on the menu. To our surprise the bill reflected a 100 price tag for what amounted to a simply deep fried fish! NOTE: Do not skip the tapioca based dessert nor the chocolate coconut cup with banana. They were astoundingly scrumptious and beautifully presented. We all commented on the array of flavors on our plates. We will be back!

Absolutely wonderful! What a beautiful restaurant, with delicious food and service. Mateo is a great waiter, he did an excellent job explaining the menu, and the history of the restaurant and the surrounding area. Will definitely be back, planning an event so I can use the private room by the bar! If you haven't been to Le Colonial, plan a visit soon!

Excellent and efficient and professional. 2 constructive comments: Bathrooms should be larger and kept cleaner and 2) Dress code should nicely prohibit baseball caps on gentlemen..sorry fashion statement or not gentlemen should be asked to remove baseball type caps in dining room...
