“Usually 75% of the time this place is on point when it comes to getting food. I hardly have any troubles. It's just that my gripes would be once in a while. It's not consistent. Maybe because they switch chefs? I'm not sure, but other than that most of their food I like from the hair. Always on the lookout to try new things and it's best usually to go up to the store to get it fresh, usually delivered comes also hot or sometimes warm but that's always depending on the driver you get. Get. Other than that this place does have some pretty decent food. Definitely will go back there compared to some of the other places in the area.“

“They recently catered wraps for an organization I belong to. The wraps were delicious and well received. Many of the thank you notes for the luncheon meeting mentioned how good they were. Supporting a DeLand business was a definite plus. It has become my favorite lunch spot!“

“Enjoyed our visit. Our server was knowledgeable and very helpful in explaining the menu. We ordered steamed buns with tofu for an appetizer with a side of peanut sauce. They were tasty and the peanut sauce was very good. For dinner we ordered spicy brisket and vegan vegetable soups. Plenty of noodles and flavorful broths. Looking forward to our next trip to Deland so we can eat here again“

“I’ve been here a few time when I visit my dad. This time my wife planned a surprise birthday for me here. They were very accommodating of our large party and the servers were phenomenal!The food was great, I went with the tried and true Shrimp and Chicken Carbonara and the Chocolate Lasagna for Dessert. I enjoyed every bite!Kid-friendliness: They have kids menus and the place is lively so it’s not a big deal if you have young ones that are a little loud.“

“Amazing four course St.Patrick's Day lunch! Chef Michael definitely knows fine dining. The atmosphere, service, and food was excellent. I was also pleasantly surprised that Chef Michael has house made Sangria flavors on the beverage menu! Very special Sangria, my favorite is the Blueberry Citrus, but the Triple Berry Sangria was very good as well. Never had anything like this Sangria before, the flavors are very balanced. He should sell it in stores. My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience. Next time we visit we hope to try the famous French Onion Soup! Definitely one of the best restaurants in Central Florida!“

“I have been ordering from China Star for over 10 years. If I'm craving Chinese food and can't get to Mills50 I'm ordering from China Star, yet I have never left a review. My apologies. Today, I ordered online and as usual my order was ready quickly. I changed something though by asking for no wontons in my soup (this is usual for me) and asked them to add green onions and mushrooms IF POSSIBLE. When I tell you they hooked me up with the most beautiful broth I've ever seen...and delicious! I just wanted to pop on here and give this beautiful family their props because they have been grinding for years! I have literally watched their boys grow all the way through school They are honest and their food is delicious. I will be a customer as long as I live in the area!“
