My visit to Brotula’s was fantastic. Located on the scenic Destin Harbor, the restaurant offers a beautiful view and a relaxed atmosphere.Our server Halle was friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing our dining experience. We started with oysters, which were delicious. For the main course, the Steamer Platter, packed with snow crab, shrimp, and mussels was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Halle's recommendation of the Key Lime Pie for dessert was spot-on, it was tangy and creamy.Overall, Brotula’s impressed us with its quality seafood, great location, and excellent service. It's a must-visit in Destin, and we look forward to returning.

Grace was our waitress, and she was super friendly, accommodating to our picky eaters, and the food was divine! We loved the BBQ sauce, and will certainly recommend it to people vacationing here in the future. Excellent hook and cook!

I love sitting on the harbor, the food was mediocre but maybe I just didn't order the best thing on the menu. I had the roasted cobia with mango blackberry salad. The dressing was a weird vanilla vinaigrette that tasted like very sweet candy.But the reason I likely wont return is that our server delivered the bill without telling us that a 20% service charge, equivalent to a automatic gratuity, was already added to the bill. I know why a server would not mention that, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth. And apparently this is not uncommon in this restaurant. I know there are some local places that would never stand for a bill being delivered without an automatic gratuity being communicated to the table, but from what others are saying, this is something the waitstaff here does on the regular. There are too many other good choices in Destin where its not standard practice to try to take advantage of trusting diners for 40-45% tips.

We called to dine here, and we were told we could walk right in. Get there only to be told we have a 25-minute wait, so we agree. Get seated and never served at all. We had to find another establishment close by due to paying for parking.
