Good layout and I’m assuming this was a great course at some point in the past but it is not in the best shape. Greens, tee boxes, and fairways are littered with weeds. Heck, I had a had time finding a clear spot without thick weeds on the driving range. This is a great $80 course. But for $200, I expect way better. I would bet that there are better courses in the area at a cheaper price. Staff was very friendly though and the gps carts are nice.

I haven't played Kelly Plantation since last year, they have made many improvements however the tee box's and areas around some greens are in such bad shape they resemble a metro course. I understand the Bermuda is in transition but these areas are terrible.

Played this course on Mar. 6/24. It is my favourite course in the Destin area. Very well maintained, greens rolling very nice. I would give it 5 stars but currently they have tee deck maintenance occuring on Holes 1-5 and 9-11...so there are some temporary tees set up. Still worthwhile playing.

Kelly Plantation Golf Club is a little pricey, though probably the BEST golf in Destin based on overall experience. The course offers a good layout and great conditions. The greens are fast with some memorable designed holes. The fourth hole is great hole situated right near the bay.
Place is always top notch. Have probably played 50+ rounds there in my life.They do get a little crazy if you fall 1-3 minutes behind pace.

Not the course from years past! Greens recently verticut, not top dressed, green surrounds terrible, bunkers haven’t been worked. Upsetting is that pro shop mentions NONE of this when you are paying your green fees. This used to be the pinnacle of golf in Destin. Not anymore. Stick to Emerald Bay, Sandestin, Indian Bayou, at least you can putt on the greens - OR DISCLOSE IT UP FRONT.

Please disclose condition of greens in advance of payment. Full price after recent sanding of greens was somewhat disappointing. I totally understand maintenance of greens is a necessary evil, but at least let the non-members know before booking.
