The server with dark glasses and a Colombian bracelet, was a total shyster with the bill. He splits the bill and claims it's an error; therefore he ended up getting a 20% and a separate $10.00 tip, by separating the tab in two. His service at the outdoor bar was horrible and he clearly doesn't have to work very hard as he is swift to increase his tip. Who has ever heard of an automatic 20% tip for a party of 2? Lastly, I ordered an Amaretto Sour and some cheap disarrono was used and charged for the real Amaretto Disaronno. Bad experience all around.

The food is good the place had great ambience it is a very large space, there are outside and inside sitting areas, so plenty of room to move around ... the only issue is the acoustics... it is LOUD. Perfect to go for drinks and a snack and a good time to hang out ... not so perfect to go for family dinner on a Saturday night. Forget about having a conversation. We had elote, crab tostadas, chips with queso, salsa, salsa verde and guacamole, and finally 4 kinds of tacos - - it was all good.

Worst Mojito ever! It tasted like pure lemon!!! Not even lemonade because it had 0 sugar. And I didn't feel the alcohol at all! I am Cuban, I am qualified to judge a mojito.The DJ can do better, but that depends on the liking. The atmosphere was nice.

I have never Been or had such bad food . Fajitas 43$ horrible ni sal tenia . Service so bad . No one came to the table we had to moved to the bar . Bathroom dirty papers all over the floor . It’s looks like there is no manager on site . They don’t care for the service the tip is already included of course . I think the place will close soon that’s what it looks like . Very abandoned restaurant so sad the place is beautiful and for nothing . Never again . The worse food and service I have had so far in my 44 years . 200$ for nothing down the drain. If I could give a 0 star I would .

Food was just okay. I don’t like the type of queso they have where the cheese gets hard in like 5 mins, it’s not a liquid queso. The carne asada tacos was okay. I don’t remember the servers name but she gave a bad impression at the end when we gave her our cards to split the bill and didn’t come back with my card, and acted dumb like “you guys only gave me one card”. Wanted to argue back-and-forth and then came back shortly after with an oops I misplaced it. Watch out.

In this place you can enjoy its elegant and relaxing feeling, I feel completely comfortable with the attention of the waitress Carolina, who was patient and loving and who made us fall in love with her accent!!
I was going to the Improv one night so my friends and I decided to have a bite before our show as Chico Malo is pretty close to it. Decided to get a margarita that was in happy hour and asked for it to be not very sweet and it was still kinda sweet for my taste but good flavor. We ordered some chips and salsa for the table and these were addicting! We also ordered taquitos, tostadas, and elote. Everything was good, can't complain, but not necessarily memorable. I went early so it was still calm, but I think later in the night it is more of a party atmosphere. Everyone was nice that worked there, but at times it did take a while to communicate things.

This is why I think the service is so bad. The food quality was good. Also FYI chips are very salty, drinks were good.
