Food-wise, this cozy little restaurant gets around 3.5-3.75 in my books. It's manned by a Japanese couple and the service was good. Prices are reasonable and the dinner sets are great value.

Absolutely delicious clean flavors that have depth and freshness. Exactly what I expect from a great Japanese restaurant. Shame there wasn't a line out the door. Very reasonably priced as well. Can't wait to return!

I loved Maido but I'm very disappointed now. I've been coming here for more than 6 years, haven't been back since the pandemic. They changed to look of the restaurant from a more Japanese traditional to a dark modern amaricanized Japanese restaurant. The food is not the same, the menu is not the same (no more sushi, sashimi and izakaya), the feel is not the same. Very disappointed. I had to ask if they sold the restaurant, they told me that one of the owners left, I guess the owner that actually care about ambiance and food quality left. Just that fact that this place was EMPTY when we got there, usually at that time it's packed, shows we are not the only ones that feel this way.

Food quality and flavor are great. However, They got my order wrong, when I informed them them of the issue and asked for another sauce (my correct order sauce) they said they would have to charge me extra.. anyway. I wouldn’t come here again.

Very homie cooking. If you are looking for mom and pop taste this is the place! They don't have sushi or sashimi but they have plenty of excellent dishes that you can try

Oh dear - My son brought me here for my birthday treat, after reading the reviews. Lets just say it is lack lustre now - this damned pandemic has so much to answer for. I looked on line at the lunch specials - and had decided in advance what I fancied, but "No' that menu has changed - and not in a good way? They had two specials of the day for lunch, which were listed on a board. So I ordered the pork ginger -which I enjoyed. My son and I shared this dish aswell as a ramen. It was not good, but it was not bad. Also they have junk (containers, boxes) everywhere. Ie I went to the ladies "out back" and there is stuff everywhere included ome of the toilets (i think the disabled one) loaded up with whatever....? in one of the toilets! that SO PUT ME OFF!! Sorry... But I would not come back or recommend.

This place no longer offers its regular menu which was fantastic. They no have sushi or izakaya style dishes. What a shame they were the best in town for sushi.

Love love Maido. The service here is always 10! The food is always on point and I love how cozy it feels. The only issue I've ever had was the time of when the restaurant open but that's fine because If I'm craving one of their yummy bowls of ramen or rice ball IM WAITING! Another issue might be that there is time that its very packed but again the food is amazing and worth waiting.. the prices are reasonable and Definitely a 10/10 place.

Some of the most AUTHENTIC Japanese food I've had in the US. The food is absolutely delicious, some people expecting more Americanized versions may want to try some of the more basic dishes, but overall if you're looking to expand you're palate or preparing for a trip to Japan this is the place to go.

This is a real deal, authentic Japanese restaurant right in the middle of Doral. It is reasonably priced for some delicious Japanese food - I opted for the hot items. I had a katsu curry, ten don (small), and a couple of onigiri. Everything was cooked to order and piping hot. The owners of the restaurant were extremely friendly and very welcoming. The service was great and not intrusive - the server didn't crowd me but made sure I had everything I needed. Definitely recommended!

I've always loved Maido the food here is consistently good no matter what I order. Post covid they no longer serve sushi or sashimi, it is a little unfortunate as they ordered the best raw fish around because they have so much pride in what they serve. However, the kitchen food has always been the reason I come back because I love Japanese kitchen food and no one does it like Maido, I know, I am a foodie that lives part time in NY and I have been to many izakaya and Japanese restaurants. Support your local business! Come give them a try. Always clean, good service, and definitely delicious.

Great place for an amazing lunch, I haven't been by in over a year but they rebranded and are offering ramen and donbury. For lunch with had lemon pepper chicken and teriyaki yellowtail. It was delicious we will be back!
