Restaurant caters mainly to the Latin community. Service is good and fast. Food is of good quality. Compared to similar restaurants, you do get a big portion, but you also pay more for it. It is a balance of quantity versus pricing.

Order today a sancocho to go. Went back to the office, 1/2 way my sancocho found a baby cockroach inside my sancocho!!!!. Went back to the restaurant asked for my money back and was told they had fumigated yesterday. However, i saw now another review from 1 year ago and they were told the same thing

I immersed myself in authentic Colombian flavors in Doral, where the tripe was a pleasant surprise and the empanadas simply divine. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service make this place an outstanding option for lovers of Colombian gastronomy.I immersed myself in authentic Colombian flavors in Doral, where the tripe was a delightful surprise, and the empanadas were simply divine. If I was able to give 0 this is what it is the place worth, I arrived at 5:10pm and they told me the restaurant is close, and on the door is saying 6:00pm , and I ask why if on the door is saying 6:00pm, and the answer was, they need to clean the kitchen this was not the correct answer because this mean that they are just cleaning the kitchen once a week? So my wife and I we went to Las Vegas Cuban cuisine

Terrible place, look cheap, dirty, I ordered mondongo sancocho and it lacked flavor, the place was full and I didn't even understand why, the service was fast at first and then the waiter forgot about me, the empanada was extremely small and hard to eat, the restaurant is extremely noisy, I have been to another Colombian restaurant on Flagler St, and it is 1000 times better in every way, I do not recommend this restaurant, very disappointing. It's a waste of money.

From my last visit service and food improved majorly which is a plus. Price range from $5 - $17 dollars which is fine, they do offer lunch specials.I had the Mondongo Soup which it was delicious until apparently there was a hair (the hair is mainly because the Mondongo wasn't clean properly) on my Soup which couldn't finish it. Will not be ordering soup but my parents order Mojarra frita and they loved it!The empanaditas de Carne are a must order and ask for extra lime for them!

On Sunday December 10th I called to place an order. The man who answered was very rude and unprofessional. I should have not placed my order after is rudeness but unfortunately did anyway. I ordered Sancocho de res and requested no plátano. When my order got delivered and I was ready to eat I found my meal had plátano in it and my order was missing the salsas that usually come with the meal. All in all very bad experience. The person answering the phone that day should not have customer contact. Horrible.

very sad to say i order lunch for me and my mom that it's been a while we ate from here. and i wish i could give it half a star ;( order bandeja with ground beef it was ok it was pretty chuncky and not the dusty way colombian do it. the beans lord all they taste was like maggie pills and yellow and mom order mondongo another disappointment also had no flavor just like maggie. the empanada was made from a different masa that don't taste like the traditional ones. i do have to say it's a shame how there food has changed i recall like 40yrs ago when they first open and my parents took me as a 6-7 yr old they were in the NW area a little shopping center than moved across to a stand alone corner place they were the bomb the owners owners knew my dad back then not that many Colombians back than but they sure knew how to cook in those two little places that they moved up from to the doral area

Monserrate has been one of the best Colombian restaurants in Miami. However, the fact that they close at 5:00 pm on a weekend, and you sit at one of their tables at 2:00 and they don’t have a menu item already?? Sorry, I’m going somewhere else from now on.There’s a Colombian restaurant on Flagler and 109 St. Great Colombian food, service, and atmosphere!
