An impromptu dinner turned out to be a great experience because of the server, Jade. She was personable, helpful, eye contact with both of us, and even offered some info for us since we’re town locals. Her skills should be recognized because we absolutely appreciated it. Great job, Jade and thank you!!

The Sunday Brunch was superb. My wife had the crab cakes Benedict - I'm from Maryland and had a taste and they were close, very close to those from my hometown. I had a huge omelette, with artichokes and spinach, two types of cheese and mushrooms. Fantastic. We both had their goat cheese grits - my wife makes some of the best I've ever had and even she raved about them. They had a saxophonist playing light jazz that helped take our experience to the next level. Definitely coming back

It took forever to get served and when we did one dish was cold. The night was very disappointing. It is our second bad experience there and we won't be back. Really to bad considering the hotel, etc.

Couldn't have picked a better place for my wife's birthday. Started on the rooftop for a cocktail and pictures. Sorry about referring to Jason as Jamie, but he took it in stride. The diner was fabulous and the service was impeccable. We will definitely be back. Hats off to the valet services as well. Steve Hodges

I made a dinner reservation about 3-weeks ago for Feb 14, and informed the restaurant that I was bringing a friend to celebrate her birthday, not Valentines. I was told that would be noted on my reservation. On Tuesday Feb 13 I called to confirm the reservation, and spoke with Robin. I again reminded her of the birthday and was told they would provide a champagne toast for my friend and I to celebrate her birthday. While our meal was delicious , our server DID NOTHING to acknowledge the birthday we were there to celebrate. However, another server brought champagne to the couple sitting at the next table to celebrate their anniversary. Fine dining is not just about the meal, it’s about the dining experience and my experience at HEW last night was hugely disappointing.

Everything was 1st class...our hostess was polite and helpful in selecting for us a window seat. She was also very knowledgeable on baseball as she follows the Toronto Blue Jays. Being Canadian and a Jays fan and a season ticket holder during spring training ; we appreciated her knowledge of the game. Our waitress was so friendly and welcoming . We shared the HEW hamburger...delicious!! It was a wonderful meal in a wonderful historic setting. We highly recommend all who are visiting Dunedin to stop by for a meal and see the beautiful Fenway Hotel.

Caitlyn was an excellent server and the food was excellent. Even though the food and service was excellent I don't think the overall experience is worthy of some of the pricing. With that said, I will return and recommend to others.

This place is finally becoming popular...it has been very good since it opened. The menu is not large, but it is varied and everything we have had is quite good. The room and ambiance are nothing to write home about, but that's not a big concern for me. Highly recommend.

Had a reservation at 9:15, half the restaurant was empty. They place us in some small room in the back, then fill the other 5 tables with couples also. Meanwhile the main restaurant is almost empty. Was trying to have a nice dinner, not 6 inches from tables next to me with strangers. Been a few times, won't be going back again ever.

Food was good but for the price the ambience needs to improve. The restaurant reminded me of sitting in an Applebees, not cozy, quiet, or intimate. Not a good feeling when paying 250.00+ for a dinner

Disappointed

Went th HEW for Valentines dinner. Our server was extremely nice but must have been exhausted by the time dinner service began as I saw her in the restaurant at breakfast. Hard working lady. Started w the seafood beignets which were delicious. Went on to order the soup of the day and a Ceasar salad. We waited a long time for these to come but they never arrived before our steaks. We both had the filets which were absolutely fabulous. Great texture and flavor. The waitress comped us the lemon pound cake and strawberries which was an exquisite dessert and a very nice gesture to make up for the soup/salad mishap. Overall, we were very satisfied with our evening and dining experience.

Bittersweet is probably the perfect description of the night. Although I desperately wanted to be enthralled here, it just didn't live up to that enchantment I thought it should be. Wonderful seafood beignets & an expertly made “true” Old Fashion were offset by a woefully undercooked filet (twice re-fired) & a duck confit that even a Labrador wouldn't have found the bird. Decor was stately, but not that grand opulence it was expected to be.

This was our second visit and it was just as fantastic as the first time. Our server, Jade, was wonderful and took excellent care of us. The food was exceptionally AMAZING. This will definitely be one restaurant we frequent often.

Waitress was excellent. Food was good. Some good wine choices. The ambiance has improved from the previous feeling of a cafeteria. However they need to address the acoustics as it is loud when lots of people are dining. I would of liked more of an intimate steakhouse ambiance

It's a hotel so expect some activity. There was a very noise wedding reception next door. Kinda fun though. Food was very good. But one thing that I just hate is the tables for two. They are long and you sit across from each other. Does not lend itself to create an intimate conversation. You basically have to yell across your table at each other.
