We wanted to love this place! It's beautifully set up and has a nice beach vibe. Our reservations were for 7:30 pm and we were seated as soon as hubby got back from parking the car (parking in that area is challenging but there's always a spot). Got a little bit of feeling of being brushed-off when the hostess walked us to our table and put down four menus, only two utensils settings, and walked away before any of us had even reached the table, she just kind of said "it's that one ok" so then it took fifteen minutes for us to see our waiter. Having picked up on it being busy we were ready with drinks and apps to order which our waiter said was good and we should put on our entire order when he returned with the drinks, he was back quickly and we did just that. ... And then we sat for 64 minutes waiting for drink refill, bread (hint: you have to request the bread apparently it says so on the menu), apps, an apology for the long wait, SOMETHING. But No, nothing until the waiter appeared mumbling about the kitchen being short staffed. Mind you our appetizers were overcooked and cold, except for the Ahi Sashimi which was room temp. But it was fresh, and it probably was amazing served cold as prepared. The fried apps for the kids were over fried, like they were dumped in to warm them up after they sat too long. But we were starving, so we dug in. Then it was another 40 minutes for our entrees. Basically, all the fresh fish is delicious but it's overshadowed by poor kitchen timing and unapologetic service . Live music was good but really loud at least I couldn't hear my teenagers complaining haha. Lobster pot pie 6/10 it sat in the window too long, puff pastry was burnt but the flavors were spot on so when served properly its prob wonderful, strip steak 6/10 ordered med rare served medium luckily my teen likes it either way because we didn't want to even start with sending stuff back. All in all it was hundreds and hundreds of dollars for sub par experience.

Where we sat there were two fans that were broken and the temp in the 90s. ? On a positive note the vibe was nice and our server was pleasant.

Another great experience at one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Dunedin. This time I tried the fried shrimp dish and it was fresh and delicious. The shrimp was not overly battered and very light (not greasy at all). The kale slaw continues to be one of my favorite sides! Our server, Jenny, was friendly, attentive, and our overall experience was fantastic!

Absolutely enjoyed it! The food and drinks were great and the bar staff service was so good we decided to forego our table and eat at the bar. Many great options in Dunedin but we found ourselves enjoying back to back nights at the Lucky Lobster. Will definitely return!

While the food is excellent and the waiters and waitresses are nice the problem lies with the host and hostesses. You should never go to this place alone because they will take longer to find a place for you and when they find a place for you it's generally not a nice area in the restaurant. Well they make a very good lobster and the waiters and waitresses are always nice it's the seating arrangements and the wait for a single person that's in question here. Yesterday they put me in a corner where there was nobody and it was a dark room after ordering I waited a little bit and then I stood and told the host that I was leaving they didn't even compensate me I always spend well over $150 and a 20% tip at this place because I generally order a whole main lobster. So if you want to go to this place you want to make sure you go with somebody to get a good seat that doesn't take long to get even when it's busy but if you're alone do not go to this place you will not be treated appropriately by the host or hostess.

I think the only negative thing I could say, is it is hidden off the beaten path and not easily accessible. We had to ask several people where it was located. It's hidden behind a brewery in Dunedin, near Clearwater Florida. Great little town!

Lucky Lobster is and has been our go-to restaurant in the greater Dunedin area. Always great service. Always fantastic food. And always good entertainment to go with it. If you haven't tried it, you shouldn't wait any longer. You'll be glad you went.
Came for the niesuaz salad, your online wed showed you had one. Disappointing but ok venues change. Arrived around 4pm, ok your getting ready for dinner rush get that. Service was spotty, keep having to find some one for little things. You know like utensils, salt , & pepper. But the girl was training a nice guy, trying to do what ever he could, while training and not sure of thing and his place. . She treated him like some disobedient dog, she wore blue glasses and treated him like he was stupid. All he did was try to help her, but obviously she should work alone. She was rude and short, your not even in dinner rush, calm down. Tell the owners you can't handle opening before 5pm. I ordered food, my oh my was so good. Ordered a ceaser salad to end my meal, what felt like twenty minutes. It is salad how hard it to make lettuce cheese and dressing, while she keep mumbling about it not arriving. Tried to make excuses for her down falls of having her train someone. At one point he was trrying to help by pulled the chalk board down to help her, she then proceeded to put it back cause she didnt know what to wright, though she needed to do it. Woow! I dont care how good this girl is i would have quit the way she treated him. And fyi if she trys to say it was cause im gay and thought he was cute , guess again. Dont blam other people for your down falls. Hope this guy stick around. When im there again for the food i will definetly ask for her not to service me!!! Supervise her if she is going to train.

I had the New England Lobster roll, my wife had the fish and chips, and we also split the crab cake app. I also had the Lucky Punch and my wife the Blackberry marg. Everything was absolutely fantastic! The roll was overstuffed with lobster meat and the fries hot and crispy and the coleslaw was unique and fresh and was out of this world. Michele’s fish was fried perfectly, flaky and moist! One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back!
