Last week we took some friends out for dinner and we can't say enough about this place. Everything from start to finish was amazing. The service was flawless, the food was not only delicious but looked beautiful as well. We will definitely be back.

Meal was excellent as usual (last visit 5 years ago since we live out of town, but we visit relatives and friends often). Our server was friendly and attentive, but did not explain the menu in as much detail as another server whom we could hear. The only negative was that when we entered the restaurant we were asked if it was a special occasion and my wife said yes, that it was my birthday. Later there was a birthday at another table and he/she received recognition and a fun candle on a desert....nothing was done at our table...not a big deal, but disappointing.

What a fantastic way to spend an extra day in February on Leap Year! The best dinner we have had in quite a while. From Starters through dessert, every course was devine! We will definitely make this an annual event when I am at my Clearwater business meeting. Thank you for an amazing meal and excellent hospitality!

The Black Pearl never disappoints. We were just here in early February and came back to close out the month and loved the new options to the menu. The food is always by far, the best food in the Tampa Bay area. Service is top notch, as per usual.

My husband and I had an exquisite dining experience last night. It's a small space, you could say intimate. The dishes we ordered were outstanding in every regard, and the staff were very professional and at the same time warm and personable.
We visited the Black Pearl to celebrate dual birthdays (my wife and 11-year-old son) and also celebrate his latest piano-piece accomplishment. My wife and I had eaten here many years ago, but it was so long that I had forgotten what it was like. It did not disappoint. We had multiple delicious courses, from escargot to pasta. My filet was exceptional and my wife loved her fish. The seating was comfortable and the service was attentive. The restaurant is intimate with maybe 12 tables. And it was full even on a Sunday night (so book ahead). There is no valet but street parking is close by and was convenient. Also wine only...no cocktails. But they have an extensive wine list and my wife and I both enjoyed what the sommelier chose for us. We also had fun dressing up in Romantic era outfits (to celebrate our son's piano accomplishment). Highly recommended and well worth the drive from Tampa. We will be back.

What a wonderful dining experience. We were welcomed with a flourish, seated in comfort and served by Jay, who was amazing. The wine was excellent and the food was better. It was an all-around, spectacular evening!
This fine dining restaurant is a gem! From the moment we entered, my wife and I were treated like royalty. The sommelier (Adam) was knowledgeable and informative. Our waiter (Sean) was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. He had an intimate knowledge of the menu and assisted us in making great choices for our meal. The food was excellent! Chef sent out plate after plate of expertly prepared fare, beautifully portioned and composed. We were truly impressed with the entire experience and will be back soon. - Phil and Holly Hess

We had the prix fixe Valentine's Day menu. My friend and I chose different items for each course so we could taste as many things as possible. Every single bite was delicious. It is probably one of the best meals I've had.
