New to the area and really wanted some Mexican food. Looked at reviews and Riviera Maya had very good reviews. We were promptly greeted and seated in this beautiful restaurant. Chips and drinks came quickly. The crisp warm chips with the homemade salsa is outstanding. The walls and tables are beautifully painted and with colorful wooden carvings. There is plenty of family style seating and booths. There is a full bar and the staff are friendly, Wendy checked on us and made sure we were pleased. I had the taquitos, they were crisp and the beef was delicious. The salad was fresh and the guacamole was so flavorful. My husband had the super burrito and again it came hot and delicious. The chicken had a very nice light spicy flavor. There is a sports TV if interested. This was a very good experience. Don't miss out on a chance for hot, flavorful Mexican food in a nice environment.

My husband and I have eaten here 3 times and loved the food and service each time. I personally think the interior is creepy colorful but can easily overlook it with such good food. It is efficiently run and I predict a successful future for this place. Bring a sweater as it tends to run cold inside.

Well, well City of Dunnellon, you are so lucky to have this fantastic restaurant in the same shopping center as Publix. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The decor is vibrant, colorful and makes you smile as soon as you see it. The staff are very friendly, courteous and the service was exceptional. Our server was great. The chips were freshly cooked and still warm when they were served at our table. The salsa is a bit mild, but if you ask they will bring you salsa that is much spicier. Delicious. Our entrees arrived promptly, beautiful presentation and were delicious. This restaurant is a real treat for those Mexican food lovers. I'll be returning again. I found my Mexican food 'go to' restaurant.

Tried this place for the first time today and really liked it! Ordered the Texas Fajitas which had chicken, steak, and shrimp. The portions were huge. We had a large party of around 10 people and the service was outstanding. There were probably 4 different servers helping to refill drinks, bring out food, etc. My parents joined us and ordered burritos that were also large and covered with different kinds of salsas/sauces & queso. Definitely a good option if looking for a good place to eat in Dunnellon.

This is the second time I've been to this restaurant. I'm local to the area so I was hoping for a good lunch as I got the first time. This turned out to be not the case. This visit was a disaster from the start. The waiter greeted me friendly enough. Got me a menu and I ordered a beer. They had what I wanted in draft and he brought me this huge draft beer. I looked at the menu. They have a small draft and a large draft I wasn't asked. I was just brought the larger more expensive one. I asked for a hotter salsa for the chips and salsa that were presented. Got something that tasted like cleaning solution was added. It was terrible! At that point the waiter became surly I should have known after the beer fiasco. Ordered the lunch special. The chili relleno was obviously frozen from inferior ingredients cuz the pepper was stringy and the meat was tasteless. It's a shame everything was so bad. I'm local and now I'll never go back to a restaurant that would have been really convenient for me.

Nice atmosphere, good service, but don't waste your time the food is tasteless, the salsa was horrible had no taste and the chips were blah....the best Mexican close to this area is La hacienda on 40 their food has taste.
Food and service was absolutely wonderful the only complaint I have is the music was way way too loud could not enjoy my family and Company for dinner was loud the two times we went and as of now will keep me from going back

Love the atmosphere great decorations. Salsa was fresh and delicious. The white queso that they put over the burrito and chimichanga was awesome. Refried beans were really good. It's definitely on the level of really good Tex Mex. Everything was well seasoned Service was good.

I ordered the chicken enchilada suizas.... I'm used to having stewed chicken instead of grilled chicken pieces inside the tortillas. Lacks flavor. They were covered with some kind of cheesy mess and a little tomatillo sauce I think instead of a creamy Suiza sauce. The refried beans had a watered down taste in my opinion and the rice seemed to be from a box or premade....again all just my opinion. I've had a lot of great Mexican food in California, Arizona and Mexico over the last 40 years. Service and ambiance were friendly and nice.
