“Tommy's Kitchen was more than just good food, it was an inspirational dine-in experience. This visit was very unexpected and it felt like I was dining at a chefs table event for Sunday brunch. Yes, the food is delicious but there's more to this story. The fried okra was amazing, the cole slaw was wonderfully crunchy, tangy, and slightly smokey sweet, the green beans had a nice chili sweetness, and the banana pudding was homemade and delicious. But what captured my attention was the sense of an entrepreneurial spirit that seems to be driven by true passion, service, and love, not only for the food, but for Tommy's Kitchen, the business. To my surprise, Chef Tommy Washington personally prepared my dishes, served them to my table with a great smile and charisma, and gladly introduced himself and his company. I can't continue without acknowledging Chef Tommy's wife and business partner, Mrs. Washington, thank you for being his loving helpmate, you were a delight to meet. She is the reason this establishment is in Eatonville, FL. (I love a good First Began (PJ Morton) story). I have so much respect for beautiful power couples who can harmonize to build a family legacy from a place where passion meets purpose and their impact ripples throughout time for generations. Mr. & Mrs. Washington, keep up the Great Work, we need splendid examples such as yourselves in the world, just know your Grandmother is very proud! And congratulations Chef Tommy and team for the many accomplishments and successful branding ventures (culinary school, tv shows and Roku App, Walmart retail, traveling celebrity chef, and much more). “We came to support Kblack for FiYAH Sundayz, a great show, and we ate the special Fish and Grits. The fish was crispy and had a hot sauce glaze that was hot enough to make your lips burn but sweet enough I would have eaten another couple of orders my self. This perfect piece of protein was played with care over a smooth and creamy order of Grits. The grits were adorned with caramelized pepper and onion, with an orange sauce that I would probably drink it was so tasty.Located in the heart of Historic Eatonville under the water tower. “They were so nice. They even carried our plates to the car. We went the day before and the card machine was down and we didn’t have cash. They gave us an order of jerk chicken on the house so we had to go back. I’m so glad we did. In a world where everyone is so mean and selfish it was a blessing to come across such nice gentlemen. The jerk chicken is delicious. I finally had a real patty and it was good. We also had ox tails and curry chicken. Yums. It was lunchtime and there was also a fresh fruit juice truck in the parking lot. It was our best Orlando experience thus far.“

“As a chef and Trinidadian in Orlando, this is the closest I’ve gotten to the food from home. And as a staunch south Trini eating roti in Gasparillo and Penal all my life, it takes A LOT to recommend roti anywhere. “I loveeeeee me a good drag show! Everything went smooth as far as getting reservations. Parking is a little hard to find unfortunately but we ended up finding a lot we paid $10 to park. When we got there it did take a little bit to get greeted by our server but they all were super apologetic. I loved how all the staff worked together to make sure all tables were tended to. Everyone loved their food. I unfortunately didn't get my food due to the kitchen running out of what I ordered but that was ok. I'm came into this knowing how this goes so I understood it was a chance to not get what I wanted. I do think the menu needs a little updating to more simplified dishes but they had a few great choices nonetheless. The show was great. The main queen did seem a little exhausted but she was still great. We absolutely loved the other two girls and their acts. Just an overall fun time!“

“Nice place to chill for lunch. The goat stew was delicious. Plantains excellent. The rasta pasta had good flavor but the beef was a little tough. The cabbage was a little over cooked and had mixed vegetables in it…like the kind in a frozen bag from the supermarket. I would have preferred fresh veggies in my cabbage like most Jamaican restaurants that I go to. The veggies in the stew tasted fresh.“

“A blend of BBq and Caribbean?!? Yes please! This is my favorite Caribbean spot in town! I try to stop in here at least once a month. Their jerk chicken is some of the best I've had! It's very saucey, which I like. I get it with rice and peas and hush puppies - but they have a lot of side options. Parking is easy and service is always friendly. I just wish they offered beer! If you want some good bbq or Caribbean, definitely check this place out!“

“I never care to review any places, but this is my favorite spot in all of America, so I want them to improve! Food is always amazing, but some days customer service is great, other days is just horrible! I ordered my food 20 minutes prior so that it would be ready for me, upon arrival, cashier informed me that she gave my food to someone else since I didn't come right away. I agree to wait another 20 minutes so they would prepare my food, half an hour later, I was obliged to leave the store and go eat somewhere else. This isn't the first time this happen. “When ever in Orlando and I want Oxtail I always come to Golden Krust. Large portions always can eat off of plate multiple times. And can’t forget to get a tropical rhythm drink I always get pineapple Ginger. Festival is also good from here as well as their beef patties.“

It took her couple mins longer for her to put it together but baby when I got it it was more like a medium she filled it up and she gave me extra sauce w. Seasoning was perfection and that there was potatoes. and the cabbage was not salting but still crunchy. tasted like home I had to eat it and put some away for later. “Visited this restaurant on Sunday February 11, 2024 for the first time, l had the tripe and beans. OMG!!!!! I ate the whole box of food, not a grain of rice was left in my box to save a life, mark you, the portions are not small at all. I ate that thing up!!!! The chef stepped out so l did not get a chance tell him what an excellent chef he was. This food, the man dropped his hands into it man.
