We're from Michigan and have had plenty of Upper Peninsula pasties over the years. I can honestly say that the Englewood Pasty Shop is as authentic as anything served in Michigan. Hard to believe, but it's true! It's not really a restaurant, but there are a couple of small tables. It's primarily pick-up. They offer several varieties, but beef is the best. Store has the charm of an actual Upper Peninsula road-side store.

A delicious stop for old school turnovers that fill the belly and the soul. You might miss it just driving by, you might not think much from the outside but inside is a short but sold menu of foods to get you through the week in good spirits.
